First prenatal appt with Dr. Andrews today was wonderful! Appt got pushed from 9 - 9:45 because doctor was at the hospital delivering a baby. I got a call from Shannon at 8:15 letting me know in advance. That was perfectly ok because when that time comes for me I want her to drop everything and come to the hospital ASAP :). Waiting room was small, but that was ok because it was nice, clean, and had a flat screen TV. I filled out new patient forms & by the time I finished, I was being called back to begin my appt. Shannon got me started and was so nice the entire time. Carolyn drew my blood and I can honestly say that was the least painful blood draw I have ever had, it is usually hard for the phlebotomist to find a vein in my arm. She had a little difficulty, but told me to breathe in and it didn't hurt one bit! Dr. Andrews was nice, informative & gives you a chance to ask questions. Her bedside manner is awesome & this was my first visit so that gave me such a relief! She made small talk in what could be an uncomfortable situation (women's examination) & made me feel relaxed. Im having twins so I had to find a doctor that works w/ high risk pregnancies, took my insurance & is affiliated w/ Northside Hospital. Im so glad I found Dr. Andrews & her staff!
