Andy’s Pool Service was founded in 1987 in Atlanta by three young entrepreneurs, Andy, Johnny and Derek with the assistance of Ann, our current Office Manager. As all of them were native Atlantans, they began servicing pools in Buckhead and built a base of 100 customers in the first year. The company continued to grow and ownership changed between the three of them, but Andy’s continued to maintain a reputation of exceptional customer service. In 1997, Dwayne Hamrick, another native.. Atlantan purchased the business. He decided to keep the name of Andy’s Pool Service, because of the excellent reputation the company had and the good will it had with the customers. It didn’t hurt that he is a diehard Andy Griffith fan. His first objective after purchasing the business was to create an visible image that matched the service reputation that already existed. By creating a logo, lettering all the vehicles, requiring standard uniforms, and improving marketing materials, Andy’s now has the look to complete the image he desired. He has expanded the service area to East Cobb and North Fulton. Computerized scheduling, GPS and improved communication technology has now allowed the company to grow to fleet of 7 vehicles, 5 pool technicians and an full service repair department. Andy’s is now one of the leading service companies in North Atlanta and our reputation speaks for itself. The largest percentage of the new customer leads has and still continues to come from the referrals from our current customer. That in itself speaks for the quality of service we provide and the referral of a friend is the highest compliment a customer can pay. Exceptional service has gotten us here and will get us where we need to be in the future.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Switched to Andy's Pool a few years ago after trying several different pool maintenance companies with disappointing results. Andy's has taken the hassle out of our pool maintenance. They are reliable, professional and work with you to meet your service needs and budget for regular maintenance. Equipment repairs are done efficiently and correctly the first time. The office manager, Ann, is also great and responds quickly via e-mail or phone. Glad we finally found Andy's Pool!

Andys was servicing the salt water pool of a home I bought in Feb 2014 (the pool was covered for the winter and I had Andys reopen the pool in mid-March). I kept them after moving in hoping they would know the property and systems already. They failed on numerous occasions to fix broken parts (spa light, in floor cleaning system, grout repairs, etc.). Excuses and delays were routine - problems were not being addressed even though I had numerous discussions and emails with the company. I gave up and hired a new company. After I hired a new pool company, it was immediately discovered that the filters were so nasty that the filter elements were basically ineffective and glued shut with gunk (see pics). Even though Andys was coming out WEEKLY for a couple of months, they never bothered to even check the filters. The service is awful and incompetent at this point. However, the owners are nice people and it seems they have had some business and personal issues occur this Spring, so hopefully things will get back to normal. In the meantime, I could not continue to use this company.

This client is correct in that we were experiencing issues during the short time period he was with us. We had two employees out on medical leave and were short handed for about 4 weeks at the beginning of this season. We pride ourselves in maintaining long term employees, and chose to suffer through their illnesses, rather than replacing them with less experienced techs. Unfortunately, for that short period of time, it was very difficult. We did try to address the issues at the property and were very responsive to his numerous requests. The filter had been cleaned when we closed the pool for the previous homeowner. There were also issues with the water coming into the pool from a well that was not function properly which definitely contributed to the condition of the filter. We were not in charge of those repairs. We have been in business since 1987 and our philosophy is that we may not always be perfect , but we will always make it right. That alone speaks for the fact that our customer retention rate is over 98%.
We installed a salt water pool because we did not want the heavy duty chemical maintenance of chlorine. But Andy's just couldn't grasp that concept. In spite of numerous requests, pleas, and out right admonishing, Andy's kept adding chlorine to our salt water pool. To the point where we had to replace all the water in the pool. Not cheap for the City of Atlanta. While Andy's was reliable and responsive to calls, they basically ignored the fact we had salt water. GONE.

I've used Andy's Pool Svc for years and they've not only taken care of the basics, which is all I expected...but they also addressed every major item I've encountered with my pool. Being a builder, I always recommend them to all of our clients that have pools installed. Thanks Andy's!

After wasting time and money last spring to clear a chronic algae problem, we called Andy's. They were out that day and all was clear in two days. They just completed a complete resurface job..excellent work, superior service and follow thru. For us, it's Andy's...no need to call anyone else!

The bottom line is that if I didn't have Andy's Pool Service, I'd drain my pool. They are not only the best pool service ever, they are by far the best service of any kind that my family has ever used. They repair items that other companies have told me were "unrepairable", they do it quickly, and everybody I speak to (especially Ann) is absolutely delightful. If they didn't already have parents, I'd adopt everyone of them.

Andy's Pool Service came out and was able to quikly get my pool ready for the summer months. Their service was great. They explained in detail exactly what needed to be done. I am considering hiring them to maintain the pool through the summer months. Great Job! I recommend them to anyone.

We purchased a home with a old pool that had been service by Andy's for more than a decade. They renovated the pool for us and we had a few complicated problems that required research and extra time on their part. They were great! Always did what they said they were going to do and I would hirely recommend them to anyone! Everyone who works at Andy's Pool service is friendly and very easy to work with!

I called to get an estimate for some repair work and learned that they do not do work on pools like mine. However, the gentleman who called was so nice, he called me back twice today to recommend other companies I could contact who might be able to help me instead. I've had trouble getting some folks to simply call me back, much less be as helpful as Andy's Pool Service has been -- and this is when they know I won't be a paying customer! I would totally hire them if I could.
