I called company to install 2 damaged garage door openers (after flood emergency). Their phone rep promised two 3/4 hp motors with 2 remotes and 1 wall remote. When installer arrived (2 days late),... he said only motors would be included for quoted price (remotes and wall unit would be extra $. After call to his supervisor, the installer proceeded to install two 1/2 hp motors instead of 3/4 hp motors quoted on phone. Ownership failed to respond to complaints and proceeded to charge CC for greater price than quoted originally on phone. This company uses scam bait and switch practices to prey on customers emergency needs. I wouldn't use them again if they were the last opener company on earth. BEWARE OR GET SCAMMED!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
5 Star Company Your company & employees went beyond to make me a happy customer!!! I had a spring to break on me. I called you out to replace it, I knew that my door needed alot of attention to it... because I had bought the house a week ago, as is!!! My tech called to let me know his ETA, and when arriving he was in a marked truck with marked shirts and handed me his card and shook my hand! After looking over my doors I needed new springs, rollers, and cables, (to me is alot of labor). He went over the work needed to be done and showed me his price that he is required to go by, but my budget was NOT prepared for that. He contacted the office to see if we could work out some type of a deal, or look at other options. After everything was said and done I did have both of my doors over-hauled & at a great price. Thanks alot for your effort to make me a happy customer!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I am very happy with this company. On time, fair, quoted me pricing up front. They told me they had a $19.99 service call to come out and then when I had the repair done they took off the service call. Technician was very professional and explained everything in detail. When I am ready to have my door replaced I know who I am calling.
Also go by National Overhead Doors and Gwinnett Cobb Garage Door Co. Once you call, you're locked in. Their name reminds you of a certain much larger company of which they are not a part. They're not all bad, so to give both sides: The positive is, they showed up on time (early, even) with only 1 day's notice, and they seem to have done a fine job of fixing/replacing my opener. Quality of work and service, good. The negative is, they wouldn't give me a price over the phone, couldn't do anything without a service call, and by then you're committed to giving them a $70 service call fee (or $20 or $90, they couldn't really commit) if they didn't do any work. So, even a request like "what will a half hp opener with remotes cost?" couldnt be answered without a service call. Then, when the tech arrived, he gave me a price. Their flyer says "will match any price"..I told him, home depot has the same opener for $90 less installed, and started to pull it up on my phone to show him. He said, well after you pay them, and you pay my service call, it works out about the same. So we went ahead and did it, he gets the new opener on, says "garage door is too heavy, need a spring adjustment, that's $39". I said, for a spring adjustment?? so we let him do it (I certainly don't have tools for that), well the actual work took less than a minute. I would think that would be part of the installation. It got done, but about twice the price and three times the stress of even HD.
I recently had a different company out to adjust my garage door; the door was extremely heavy and with new springs (<1yr), I assumed they just needed to be adjusted. When the tech arrived he explained that he couldn't properly adjust the springs to balance the door because they were not the proper springs (too small). He then suggested I contact the original company that installed them and work with them. That original company is AOD a.k.a Gwinnett Cobb ODC. I found the original invoice stating what was installed (including what size the springs were) and called AOD. When I explained my situation the reply was complete skepticism and the person I spoke to even went so far to explain that the company that I had called out before just lost a lawsuit to AOD and they were "being pretty mean to us" for it. So, I scheduled an appointment. I took off early from work (2nd time in a week) and waiting for the entire appointment range (4-6), I finally got a hold of a person from AOD who claimed, "Your address wasn't working in the GPS" and "He tried leaving a message on your phone." I never received a phone call and I have frequently used my home address in different GPS units (Phone, friends car, etc.) When I inquired to know how they got my phone number, since I was never asked for it when I scheduled the appointment, the person said they weren't in the office and it wasn't possible to tell how or what phone number they had. Needless to say, I didn't reschedule.
Needed a repair on my door and got thier number from my neighbor. They sent a technician out the same day and fixed it fast and affordably. I am very happy and will use them again in the future.
They insulted me because I had wood in my garage. (Building a treehouse for our son). Was told they would be there between 2 and 4, they showed up at 4:15 and told me they wouldn't do the work because they were late for another appointment. They would come back the next morning. The next morning they called me THREE times at 8 in the morning to see if I had cleared the wood. The first time I said yes, apparently wasn't enough. When I complained to Sharon (a manager) she yelled at me. I asked to speak to the owner, they had a manager call me back. The manager was rude, too. I cancelled the "service". I then called halpro overhead doors and they are repairing my door( something these guys said would cost $300) for $150. These guys said that they would charge $350 to replace the garage door opener so they were just going to make me replace it. Please don't contact these guys. They will fleece you, judge you and provide the worst customer service, I've ever seen. They also go by "Gwinnett and Cobb Overhead doors." Horrible experience. There are a lot of 5 star reviews with 1 review people. I ask you to look at all my other reviews to figure out if I'm just trolling or actually a real person. Thanks.

I just had a garage door installed by this company. The Techinician, Jeremy, that they sent out was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and I couldn't have asked for a better quality job. Jeremy was not only quick to get the door installed, but the door works perfectly and I am extremely satisfied with this company. If you need a garage door... this is the company to call!
I am very pleased with Angel Overhead Door. The technician arrived within the scheduled time, he explained everything to me in detail before he did the work, and I feel that I got a good deal. I will recommend to all friends and family and will definately use this company again!
We normally don't write reviews however after reading some disappointing ones we felt the need to respond on behalf of the Angel Overhead Door group. We are property managers throughout the Atlanta area and have used Angel Overhead Door about a dozen times for various projects. The technicians they have sent out have always been exceptional and if there were ever a concern I was able to contact the owner directly. I have been managing properties for over twenty years and have used half a dozen overhead door companies. I have been able to maintain a professional relationship with Angel Overhead Door and will continue to use them and refer them to my friends and clients.
I contacted them based on these reviews because it was for a rental property and I could not be there. When they arrived per my renter they did not even look at the garage door motor (the problem I called for) they called me to say they needed to replace everything (keep in mind the motor works....the renter showed him). When I said thanks I would like a second opinion, then they told me well I owe the $49 for coming to look at it and how would I like to pay. Nice try. The second company came out repaired the motor and everything is working great again.
In late September/ Octocer of 2008, I was getting ready for work when I heard a big bang.It sounded like it came from the garage, I didn't know what to do . I was terrified. My husband was out of town on business. I called my neighbor to come over to look around. He referred me to Gwinnett /Cobb Overhead Door because it was obvious that the springs had broken on my garage door. The technician spent about 40 minutes explaining my options and the mechanics of the door. Two springs cost us only $225.00 plus he lubed and tighted the door and garage opener. He really knew what he was doing. Thank You, David WE WILL DEFINATELY BE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.
In 2003/2004 My husband and I decided to hire Angel Overhead Door to replace our garage door.At that time they gave us a quote to replace the electric garage door opener as well as the door but said the opener was not in need of immediate replacement. We were very happy with the installation and we got five more years out of our electric opener. I found Angel Overhead Door/Gwinnett-Cobb Overhead Door Company on the internet. We called and they invited us down to the showroom for a demonstration of their electric openers. When they came out to install we were happy to see Jim the same installer who did our door.We will always recommend this group. Thanks, Jim, Gary and Jen for another good job.
paid over $1200 with their coupon for a new double door less than a year ago. Today, I was having problems with the door stopping in the same spot. Upon calling the company, Jennifer, in a fairly short manner told me it was a garage door opener problem and I would have to pay a $49.99 service charge plus parts and labor unless they found it to be something out, which she doubted that it was. I looked on the internet and found other companies that charge less than half for a service call, so I called to cancel...taking my chances with someone else. I am guessing there is no way it could have been a "warranty" issue. Just have a hard time believing a company that proclaims to have such great customer service would have a customer who had an entire door/track/spring replacement less than a year ago would not out of good practice just come out a look at it. As a real estate agent, I will be sure to pass my experience on to my clients and neighbors.
We called Gwinnett Cobb Overhead Door because our Neighbors recomended them. They worked around our schedule and did a great job tuning up the door and opener. We also presented a coupon after the work was done and saved fifty dollers will recomend to evreyone
