I took my yorkie there to get what was supposed to be a routine teeth cleaning. They said they would call with an update during his surgery to let me know if they needed to remove any of his teeth (they charge $15-35 per tooth removal). by 5pm still hadn't heard anything so i called. when i called the vets husband working the front office informed me that they did the cleaning, and oh yeah, supposedly "had" to remove 13 of his teeth! we were told before we brought him in that it was going to be $150 but since they conveniently charge per tooth removal they said it would now be $800! I asked why i wasn't called during the surgery like they told me they would and he just replied "we were too busy" when they were in the back getting our dog, i could hear him yelping. when they brought him out to me he had crusty dried up blood all over his head, he was so drugged up his eyes were rolling back and he had broken blood vessels in his eye, he looked horrible and it absolutely broke my heart to see him like that! he was clearly given way too many drugs for his size cause he couldn't even sit up on his own with out falling over!since then every time i bring into our NEW (and 100 x's better vet) he starts shaking and goes into panic mode, it breaks my heart! i feel so guilty that i brought him to Animal Care Center for what i thought would be a simple teeth cleaning!
