Just a horrible experience with our bulldog here. She was rushed here in respiratory distress as fast as we could drive, handed off to the front desk, and taken in the back. We were told to wait out front, given paperwork to fill out (credit card authorization, of course), grilled about how much we could/would pay, lectured repeatedly that the bill must be paid immediately, introduced to a vet student intern visiting from somewhere else - this was the one point at which the vet actually seemed interested, as he explained what the visiting (female, blond) student was doing. Filled out a complete history - did the dog have papers, was she purebred, etc etcetc. At least half an hour passed during which time I assumed my dog was being cared for in the back. After all this the vet said, "ok, we can get started now, do you want to say goodbye to your dog?" They had stuffed her in a crate in the back where she was gasping for air the whole time, no medicine, no treatment, nothing. Then they said they would start treatment and try to stabilize her so that they could perform surgery on her. They advised me to go home that it would be at least a couple of hours before they would know if she was stabilizing. Long story short, I never saw my dog alive again, the bill was over $1500 (she never stabilized and no surgery was performed) Very very horrible experience, we now drive to renton to Acces - the care there is prompt, attentive, and not cheap but reasonably priced. Avoid AEC.
