Not happy with service or price!
We have been going here for a few years. I keep mentioning to my husband we should switch vets and now I finally get my way. They tend to give us the wrong medications and we have to call them to notify the wrong animal with the wrong dose amount. I'm sorry but I didn't go to school to be a vet you should know. Secondly, if you ask for something to be doneit usually isn't done and you pay for something you didn't ask for. How hard it is to just listen to what the customer is looking for. I would not recommend them for older dogs. They usually want to charge you a big price to "So-call" save them but in terms it doesn't work. I know of other dog owners who went some where else with a "so-call" dying dog and is still currently living years later. I don't want a vet to practice on my animal anymore....

Being in the medical and service industry's, it is disappointing when we fail to live up to one of our clients needs. This post mentions no names so we have no way to research and/or address their concerns. I would welcome a call from Erin01 so we would have an opportunity to investigate the problems they may have had and resolve them. Thank you, Kim Nix, Practice Manager, 770-591-9500

Not recommended
I agree with the posters that notice an apathetic attitude and lack of continuity in the treating vet. It tells you that view your visit as nothing more than a means to make money. I don't begrudge paying money for my dogs medical care, but I do expect a high quality and thorough examination.
The clinic is poorly run and the record keeping is atrocious. Take your pet elsewhere.

As mentioned in the above response, with no names, dates or specific problems, there is no way to address them. If you read all of our posts you will find a common thread of happy clients who appreciate the care they received from us for their 4 legged family members. We have been voted the "Best of our Community" in veterinary care for the last 6 years in a row. We love what we do and know that we offer excellent and compassionate care in our hospital everyday. To hydroPHILE
How uncaring to euthanize your loving pet, just b/c the dog exhibited some aggression issues HOW ABOUT WORKING WITH YOUR DOG'S PROBLEM. HOW ABOUT TAKING HIM TO OBEDIENCE TRAINING? An aggresion problem in a dog, is VERY fixable.. I think very hgighly of THE OTHER VETS that refused to put your dog down. They deserve my respect for being HUMANISTIC and CARING.....

This comment reads more like a blog or comment and I doubt it comes from a client or anyone who knows all the facts of the pet it refers to. We work heavily with trainers and behaviorists and believe strongly in rehabilitating animals. We have a proven history of working with challenging pets, to the point that we were featured in a National Geographic TV program in 2006 working with Cesar Milan, the "Dog Whisperer" and an aggressive (terrified) dog named "Howie". In our practice we sometimes have to make hard choices, we were "Humanistic" and "Caring" on behalf of the children that where hospitalized with facial wounds from this poor dog. Sometimes the most humane thing to do for a pet is to end its stress and the very real possibility of it winding up in the shelter system, on the streets or in another home where children would be at risk. By the way, after much hard work and a lot of love, Howie found a forever home and at the time of this writing is living the high life, sleeping on the coach with his favorite cat. Won't go anyplace else
Vet: Dr. King
We had to make the sad decision to euthanize a dog of ours that had become unpredictable and aggressive (unprovoked). Our regular Vet had passed away a few months earlier, and so I made three phone calls about euthanizing our 48 lbs dog:
Vet # 1: "It will be $285 plus an office visit fee."
Vet # 2: rude lady: "We will NOT euthanize him if he comes in here all happy!" (though I had proof of a bite history)
Vet # 2: (AH of Towne Lake) "I am so sorry to hear that. We can schedule that for you and help you out."
The staff on the phone (Marissa) was more than helpful and sympathetic. The day of his euthanization, we came in, and, again, were greeted by kind and caring staff members who showed us to an exam room.
They took the time to lay out a comforter for us so our dog wouldn't be euthanized on a cold, steel table, and we met the Vet (Dr. King). She was very understanding after we explained the situation, the routes we had taken, as she had a similar dog in her past. She nailed the symptoms and tell-tale signs on the head.
Dr. King was VERY nice as was her Vet Tech. They gave us plenty of alone time with our dog, and after bawling like a baby, the Vet Tech patted our backs and was genuinely sympathetic.
I could not have asked for a better Vet or a more understanding staff.
Because of this (and the reasonable cost), we will not use another Vet and have made them our primary Vet for our other dog.

Very Satisfied
I've used AHT for a few pets, for a few years, for a variety of services - I've been pleased all the way around. I feel all of the staff is caring, kind, and competent. Thanks.
