job well done, 10/02/2014

animal proofers came out and offered multiple options and price ranges to fit our budget. they were able to identify and keep all the rodents out of our home for good. we have not had a problem since... the work was done. they also have fixed 3 of my neighbors homes as well and they have had no problems.i would recommend animal proofer to anyone.

What a sham....., 1/03/2011

I recently purchased a home in Alpharetta that had evidence that pests had been in the attic previously. The home inspector noted that there was some pest exclusion (wire mesh in some of the roof... construction gap) and that there was a strange contraption which appeared to allow the pests to leave the attic and not re-enter. I contacted the previous homeowner and he stated that Animal Proofers had been responsible for the exclusion work to date. Several months after living in the home the pests had returned. I had several local pest solution companies out to quote removal and exclusion of the pests. The service representatives were rather disgusted with the poor quality job that Animal Proofers had performed. Examples of the poor quality include lack of full exclusion (i.e. wire mesh was placed in select gaps whereas industry practice seems to be sheet metal placed around the entire perimeter) and leaving the “check valve” (strange contraption noted above) in place. Not having worked directly with Jason and Animal Proofers I can only offer one piece of advice; have several companies out to quote and ask questions like what there exclusion practices are and what they warranty. If you follow this advice, hopefully you will not end up with someone who cuts corners like Animal Proofers.

Did not honor their warrantee.

Jason (Animal Proofers) sealed holes in my house for $1500 in one afternoon, with a warrantee that he will not miss any holes that rats might be getting in through. Two weeks later, when it became apparent that he had missed a spot, and we still had rats, he did not honor his warrantee. He wanted some $200--500 more to fix that spot, and drew up more plans that would cost me thousands more. The written warrantee he provided, unfortunately, did not state what he verbally told me. It simply stated "We will cover all our work". It is unclear if this also means "we will not miss anything", so I did not pursue things further, other than appealing to Jason, but to no avail -- Jason was very insistent on trying to sell me more work, instead of fixing his previous work first.
