Don't bother....new mgmt, 4/19/2010

The prices were outrageous for the quality of the food. The only thing good we experienced was the service.

Some of the worst service I have ever received., 12/29/2009

My wife made a reservation for the two of us to have dinner at Anthony's for New Year's Eve on December 3, 2009 through opentable.com. We were informed on the 29th that our reservation had been... canceled because they were closed for a private party. I called to talk the manager about the situation and see what could be done. I was informed that the party was scheduled over a year ago and that it was just a computer problem that happen sometimes. The person I was speaking with informed that all that they could do was offer me a reservation for the 30th. That is just unacceptable.

Spectacular Evening

We had a large group dinner at Anthony's for a family party. The atmosphere can't be beat since it's in a really cool old southern house. Our group sat on the balcony. We had steak and crabcakes. The steak was among the best I've ever had and the crabcake was excellent. The service was unbeatable with an extremely friendly staff. Finally the dessert was an awesome banana flambe. From beginning to end we were treated with the best food and service. I highly recommend it for a very special occasion such as ours. It is rather expensive, so it is not for everyday dining, but for those really special evenings.

anthony's

We had a group meeting there. The service was all right and the environment was peaceful. Parking is tight due to residential setting. I liked their steam vegetable side which was well-spiced.

worst service burnt food

We took a dear friend here to show off traditional Atlanta...BIG MISTAKE. All was well till the food came- our guests food was burned black-when he requested the waiter to return the entree and prepare a non-burned item, the waiter took a fork, turned over the burned meat and said to him there was nothing wrong with it. we were humiliated- we walked out after waiting for a manager...this joint is living on their 1990's reputation which was not so great! go across the street to Bones-at least there you get good service AND good food for the same costs.

Worst Experience

We were seated in a small room upstairs where only 4 other people were seated already. We waited 10 minutes before a waiter threw down 2 menus (no greeting) and ran away. Approximately 10 minutes later, the waiter returned (no greeting again)and asked what we wanted. We asked what the fish of the day was and he responded. We gave our order. We waited another 10 minutes - no water, no bread, nothing! Meanwhile other tables were filling up and another waiter greeted everyone, welcomed them to the restaurant and recited the specials. We requested to speak to the manager. The manager was very apologetic and said that our waiter was in a bad mood and gave us the head waiter. They compensated us with an extra glass of wine and dessert. The food was very plain - salad dressing seemed to be out of a bottle and there was not much presentation of the entree. The prices on the other hand were outrageous, especially considering the poor service and average food quality.

Nice house- lousy food/service

Set in an 1800s-era farmhouse in a secluded, wooded setting, this Buckhead tradition is popular for wedding receptions and special occasion dinners. Unfortunately, a dedication to these larger groups often means that individual diners can be overlooked, and the service can be downright awful. The atmosphere is rustic and very cool, especially considering that it sits right in the heart of trendy Buckhead, but the food is nothing special and the prices somewhat ridiculous.

Romantic

Very romantic place. Restaurant is hidden down a driveway off of Piedmont in Buckhead... it's actually a converted plantation. Prices were a bit much, but worth it.
