Apache Cafe

I decided to visit for the first time on Open Mic Talent Night. Let me just say the talent was fabulous! Musicians and Spoken Word , the atmosphere was close and intimate.I enjoyed it so much I stayed till 130 am.I ordered the Kick Ass Fish sandwich and my cousin ordered the Tilapia Nuggets. Both orders were basically fried fish and a whole bunch of fries. I mean a whole bunch of fries.Our drinks were attractive but weak, and cheap liquor.Come for the entertainment but eat before you go, and stick to bottled beer.

I decided to surprise my sister for her birthday by taking her to Atlanta and to a poetry spot (which she's never done). I decided on Apache Cafe because most of the reviews were exactly what I was looking for. We got there before 9:30 to get a table (It's tucked in an alley), walked in at the feel of a poetry spot was all up and through this place, it was great. Food was good, drinks was horrible. If P Diddy aka Puffy aka Sean knew how they served his Ciroc he was shut them down. The drinks reminded me of a HOLE in the wall that buy cheap liquor and try to pass it off as the good stuff (explains the headache this mornin). 2 out of the 4 groups that performed was awesome. We left a lil after midnite only to find that my car had been broken into. They tell you over and over to pay $10 for parking or you will get a boot on your vehicle. I figured if I at least took care of that what other problems could I have. They stole everything out the trunk, under the seat and even a freaken banana I had just purchase from the grocery. (I needed that banana, because my plan was to dance all nite and this is the best source of potassium). Apache would not help locate the police department number to report the incident AS THEY QUICKLY EXPLAINED THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOT, Atlanta's finest PD was of great assistance (HELL NAW)THE POLICE WAS TRYING TO GET INFO BY TALKING TO ME WHILE HE WAS SITTIN IN HIS VEHICLE AND I WAS SITTING IN MINE DUE TO THE WEATHER. He asked what?s the problem; Negro didn?t you get the info from 911. I brushed his ignorance off as lazy. But he continued to act as if I was bothering him. So I explained to him what if you showed up at the funeral home and I had to prepare your mom for her final rest and I brushed you and you family off as another case(Just do the job and do it right you chose your profession). He said he didn?t mean it that way, ITS ONLY BECAUSE HE SEE THIS EVERYDAY. The only thing I could say to him was WOW!!! And I...

I always have a great time at Apache! Super chill but a party at the same time, good sound, good people. It tends to get a bit crowded so thats just something to think about.

Me and my boyfriend went while visiting atlanta before we moved there. When we got there, on time, we had to wait outside for about 20 minutes but, when we got in, we were able to sit where ever we wanted. Within an hour the place was packed. We waited for 2 hours before entertainment started, that was too long. We decided to order from the menu, my boyfriend got his food first, it was fantastic! And he is very picky! So i had to order my own. We hated that the plates were so small!!! when they small plates, they mean extra small plates. they are teasers! The food is too good for such a small plate. The entertainment was great! I love places like this, and we will be going again!

Great sound and venue, but it was way too crowded for the concert I went to. I love a packed house, but this was so crowded you couldn't even move around. Too uncomfortable.
