We needed hardwoods refinished in our house which we were about to move into in 5 days, and our realtor recommended Apalachee. I left a message with the owner, he returned the call and agreed to meet... my husband at the new home all within one day. The work was done prior to moving in, and the floors are beautiful. The owner asked me to come by to approve the stain - one he felt was closest to the originals - and based upon our 2 big dogs, he advised me on the finish. I will continue to use and recommend this company as needed. To receive a quick response, flexible scheduling and excellent work from a company is golden.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
We had Glen install some balusters and redo our stairs. The craftsmanship was excellent. His team was on time and curious. Prices were very competitive. Highly recommended.

Anne- It was a pleasure working with you and we're so glad we were able to accommodate your tight schedule to get the floors looking good prior to your move-in. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. Glen
Kris- We appreciate the opportunity to add beauty and value to your home. Thanks for the kinds words and if there is anything I can help you with in the future, please let me know! Glen P.S. I assume you meant the crew was "courteous" but curious isn't a bad quality either :)
They took my very damaged engineered hardwood floors and made them look almost new. I was told by some companies that it wasn't possible to refinish them but apalachee floors did it and I am very happy with the results.

Rebecca- It's always extra rewarding to succeed when others have said it "can't be done". We hope the sale of your house goes well and we look forward to helping you with any future projects. Glen
Apalachee was a great company to deal with from start to finish. Glen was quick to come out and look at my project and I had a quote the next morning. I was preparing a house to sell and had about 1000 sq feet of hardwoods to be screened and recoated. As soon as I was ready they were out a week later and did an incredible job. Everyone that had seen the floors in the past was amazed at how great the turned out and I couldn't be happier I have a larger project lined up at my new house and look forward to working with them again.
Apalachee screened & recoated about 1000 sq feet of original hardwoods in my 1949 home to get ready for market. This included a kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, and hallways in between.

Josh- Thanks for the opportunity to help spruce up your house before putting it on the market. A buff/recoat is often the most cost-effective way to add value to a home with hardwood floors and I'm sure your home will sell quickly with the improvements you've made. We look forward to helping you with your next project! Glen
Due to water damage, our entire downstairs flooring had to be replaced. I called Glen at Apalachee Hardwood Floors for a quote. He was very responsive, coming out the following day and getting a quote to me later that evening. Upon our acceptance of the quote, the work was scheduled to meet my needs. The crew showed up on time and completed the work in one day!!!! They were very efficient and really very nice to work with. The floors are absolutely beautiful-I couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend Apalachee Hardwood Floors.

We enjoyed working with you as well! We hope you enjoy your new floors for many years to come and know that you'll get a great return on your investment when it does come time to put the house on the market. Thanks again! Glen
We had a water leak in our kitchen that damaged about 1/3 of the floor which was required to be replaced. Glen (Apalachee Hardwood Floors) came out and provided us with a quote for the Kitchen, and while he was there we asked about our entry (refinished to match the Kitchen) and add new Hardwood for our Powder room. Glen was very prompt with the quote which we found acceptable and gave him the go ahead. The replacement/refinishing crew was prompt and on time to install and refinish the Kitchen, entry way, and powder room. The crew cleaned up as they went, installing dust barriers to keep the dust to a minimum. Glen and the crew advised us of the time they would arrive and about the time to complete the projects. They were prompt at arrival and had the project done at the estimated time. We would recommend Apalachee Hardwood Floors to anyone who asked for our advise. Thanks to a great job. Kitchen, Entry and Powder room look great.

We do a lot of water-damage repair work and this is often a great time to add wood in areas it previously didn't exist. Adding value to your home gives a silver-lining to the process of correcting the damage. We appreciate the opportunity to help you do just that! Glen
We had a great experience with Apalachee. Glen was very professional, responsive, and clear about what the process would entail. The guys who did the labor were professional and detail-oriented. The results were beautiful and we are happy to recommend Apalachee to friends.

Thank you for your kind review! It was extra gratifying to help you get your floors and stairs looking right, since we know you'd had a less than positive experience with a previous contractor. We hope you and your kids enjoy them for many years to come! Glen
Arrived on scheduled date ready to work. Glen stopped by to make sure subcontactor had all pertinent information to complete the job. Work was completed in the time frame given. Overall project looked great. Noticed a raised area in the floor and what looked like an incomplete area at an exterior door. Emailed Glen on September 26th asking if something could be done with the areas in question. Glenn contacted me immediately after the review posted. He apologized and explained that he had been having issues with his email. Was at my home the next day. We resolved the issues with the floor and I had him give me an estimate to install flooring in another room of my house.

It appears that a message we sent got lost in cyberspace, but I met with the customer to discuss the areas in question and we came up with a plan that addressed the issues. We also installed an additional room for him and all were pleased with the end result. Thanks for your continued business! Glen
Apalachee refinished three rooms and a hallway and did a wonderful job. Everyone was very efficient and couldn't have been more helpful. We had three estimates and they were all in the same ballpark, so we could have chosen any of them. A neighbor had some experience with Apalachee so because of the personal reference, we went with them. So glad we did as we couldn't be happier with the work. We would definitely use them again.

Joan, You were a pleasure to work with and we're very gratified that you are so pleased with the final results. We look forward to helping you with any future projects! Glen
I used this company to stain and re-finish my floors. The coloring looks good but after a few weeks I noticed a couple of mysterious scratches that looked to be between the layers. I had the head guy come out again to look at the scratches and he believed that the sealant had not reacted properly with the finish. They then came out for a second time to fix some scratches and I see no difference. The scratches even now have some bubbling above them where as before they were smooth. Also, when the originally did my floors they did not tape my moulding and got stain all over it. They then "patched" it with different color paint. I therefore asked they re-paint the moulding this time, which they did, but they told me to buy a gallon of paint for it, and used approximate 1/6 of that.

As I often tell customers, what we do is much more of an "art" than a "science", particularly in cases like this one where the customer wanted her light maple floors stained a dark brown. When she contacted us with her concerns, we returned and made all requested corrections at no charge. We are certainly disappointed that we were still not able to satisfy her but perhaps more so that we were not contacted to offer anything further. We will continue to attempt to reach out to her to see how we can resolve this. Glen
I hired Apalachee hardwood flooring to refinish my existing hardwood floor and replace my old carpets. They did excellent job in refinishing the existing ones and installing a new Red Oak floor replacing my carpet. Project manager Glen and his crew members are very professional. I look forward to use their service in replacing my carpet in my stairs to hardwood. Appreciate their work. Thanks

Shreedhar- So glad you are pleased with your new floors and the refinishing of the old ones! You picked a bold mahogany red color and I think it turned out beautifully! We look forward to helping you with your oak stair project in the future. Glen
I hired Apalachee Hardwood Floors to repair a bad finishing job which was done by another company. The other company had done the floors twice and they were a mess. Apalachee saved the day by making my floors look great. Actually, they were not just great....they were perfection!! Glen could not have been nicer. He even recommended a painter that was willing to finish the job that my contractor started and abandoned. Thank you Apalachee Hardwood Floors for saving the day! You guys are amazing.

Lee Ann- We're so glad we were able to get your floors looking good. We hope you enjoy your "new" home for many years to come. Glen
I contacted Glenn about installing a herringbone floor pattern in my foyer, something that wasn't as easy to get as I thought- meaning it requires specially cut wood that most companies don't sell and a very skilled installer. But Glenn came by, put together a plan and I had the beautiful floor I wanted, just in time for an event at my home too, I might add. Glenn was very professional and while I did have a few issues with the installer, Glenn made sure I was ultimately satisfied. I would definitely use Apalachee Hardwood Floors again and recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality hardwood floor!

It is always a pleasure when we get a chance to apply some of our more advanced skills like with the installation of your herringbone foyer. They often present unique challenges so it's even more satisfying when the customer is pleased with the end result. Thanks again for your business and we look forward to helping you with your next project. Glen
We bought a home in Buckhead that needed the main floor's hardwood floors restained and refinished. Apalachee was the first to come to make a bid, the first with a proposal, and was able to do the job when we needed it done. They did a beautiful job and left no marks on the white baseboards (!). I would hire them again in a second!!! They were a great welcome to Georgia :-)

Thank you for the opportunity to help with your new home and welcome to our fine state! We hope you enjoy your "new" floors for many years to come. Glen
We bought a house with engineered hardwood that was covered with scratches, gouges and splits. They came in and made it look brand new! The crew was great and Glen showed us so easily on our floor different color choices. They even worked on New Years which was a big help.

It's a common misconception that engineered floors are not a candidate for traditional refinishing. In most cases they can be and often will fool the untrained eye that they weren't a "site-finished" floor all along. Thanks for your kind words, Chris!
