If you're looking for a place to receive great service, an excellent haircut with an amazing "spa" ambiance this is the place to go. I've been coming here for a few years now and can't say enough great things. I followed my hair stylist (Lyn) from another salon and have no complaints. The front desk is always courteous and friendly and greets you as soon as you walk in. You are always offered some type of beverage as you're waiting in the lounge on top of up to date magazines to browse through as you wait for your appointment. Lyn has been doing my hair for over 5 years and I am always MORE than satisfied. I can never get enough compliments when she does my hair and have referred several clients to her; all of whom have said the same. I have yet to experience all the other services they have to offer, however, I don't doubt that I will be satisfied with those as well!

I found Artesia a wonderful spa experience in the heart of beautiful downtown San Diego. The staff was very attentive and my massage was one of the best. I would highly recommend Artesia for anyone looking for a great spa experience. A must in San Diego !!

I have been to the salon several times. It is a beautiful salon! I have had several facials done by Miguel. He is very informative about the products and constantly makes certain that you are comfortable and relaxed. He genuinely wants to be sure that you are enjoying your salon experience! I highly recommend him!

I was in San Diego for a convention and a friend recommended I get a facial at Artesia. I was greated by a handsome man named Michaelangelo. He was very polite and asked me several questions related to my skin. I thought this was a thoughtful start. The facial itself was without a doubt the best I have ever received, and I have received facials all over the world. This man has hands that are magical. Not only was it a very relaxing experience, my skin never looked so good. Much like the painter, this Michaelangelo is also a true artist! when in San Diego, this needs to be on your "must do" list

I just got married this past weekend and for our honeymoon we decided to stay in San Diego before our actual vacation. We had reservations in the Downtown area. I was a bit disappointed because our hotel did not have a spa. However, they did happen to highly reccommend a nearby spa. I was blown away from the moment I walked in. They greeted and acknowledged us immediately and offered us a tour of thier spa. I actually had a stone facial and as each stone was placed on my face it felt as if my body & mind was falling into a deeper level of relaxation . It was an experience like no other and a great way to begin my honeymoon! Artesia Day Spa & Salon is a real getaway treat!

These people are not very nice, i have gotten my hair cut there and they where very snooty and not happy that I wasnt and upper class La Jolla mom. I am a college student who just wanted a day off from life and this was not the relaxing experience i expected.
