I saw Dr. Ashraf for Lasik approximately a yar ago and had a very good experience. I had researched extensively and consulted with one other physician prior to choosing Dr. Ashraf. He was pleasant, straightforward, and efficient. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable; his office staff were very nice and knowledgable also. The procedure went smoothly and I have had no complications to date. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Ashraf!

I went for an "enhancement" of one eye. I ended up with no improvement AND I now cannot see my computer screen. Total waste of my money. His answer: "I only promised you 2 out of 3" In fact he didn't mention any problem with computer vision at all.

I was originally going to go with Woodham Eye because it was closer to my home, but after a scheduling fiasco (cancelled surgery the day prior) I went with AVI. I'm glad I did. Dr. Ashraf told me everything to expect. This is important to me as I would mentally check off every item he told me, and it was exactly as he described. Dr. Ashraf and AVI was a good choice for me.

Had Lasik after wearing glasses for my whole life. I was legally blind, so nearsighted that I souldn't read the Big E on the eye chart. The next day, I was seeing 20-20 and my eyes are getting better by the day. Dr. Ashraf is cool, calm, walks you through the procedure carefully and just does an outstanding job. I recommend him above all others!!!

My experience with Dr. Ashraf and his staff at Atlanta Vision was and is still amazing! I only wish I had done this sooner! I love being able to see and the entire procedure was painless (I did the blade-free) and I started seeing that evening! Thanks so much, Dr. Ashraf! I highly recommend you and Lasik!

Worn glasses since I was five years old. I had many questions, did the research, and it led me to Dr. Ashraf at the Atlanta Vision Institute. The website (atlanta2020.com) is top notch and will answer many of your questions, then a no-cost no-pressure consultation with Dr. Ashraf and his team will take care of the rest. They made sure I knew what to expect every step of the way. It is obvious he cares about the outcome of each patient and I can highly recommend this doctor. Dr. Ashraf is one of the elite in his field: Impressive resume including Johns Hopkins, tons of experience (35,000 LASIK procedures, extensive research background, numerous articles published, etc), and unlike some doctors he has people skills (he wants you to be well informed and comfortable during the entire process). If you are worried that you may not qualify the percentage that can be treated successfully has increased quite a bit in the last several years. My prescription prior to surgery was stronger than most: OD was -5.25 -2.25 x 15 and OS was -5.25 -1.50 x 175. Now I see as well as I did with glasses (better than 20/20) and only need glasses to read small print (at 51 years old this was expected). Hope this review helps others who are on the fence. In short if you are considering laser vision correction you have found the doctor that will increase the odds of a successful outcome.

I wore glasses and contacts my entire adult life. Now, thanks to AVI I am 20/15. I,like so many, was scared. But within minutes after the procedure was amazed at the clarity. The staff was wonderful, comforting, understanding, and very supportive. You can not ask for a better group of people to put your trust in. I tell everyone I can about AVI...thank you for the change it has made in my life.

I wore glasses all my adult life and finally decided on getting a Lasik surgery last year. I'm a very active person and I'm doing a lot of triathlon races. I know many people use contact lenses for races, but that was not an option for me. I felt really uncomfortable running and biking with my glasses on. I always got sweat in my eyes and the glasses were foggy all the time. Quite a few times I had to stop during the race to clear my glasses and wipe out the sweat on my lenses. Also, the swimming part was difficult as I obviously wasn't able to swim with my glasses on. You can't really focus on the race as you have to make sure all the time that your glasses are clean. If you are an active person, Lasik surgery is definitely the way to go.

My mom had lasik there. She lives in Huntsville and when she got checked at home, they told her that her cornea was too thin to perform the surgery. We came to Dr. Ashraf for a second opinion and they scheduled her as soon as possible. Great staff, she was completely taken care of and surgery was quick and successful. We're so happy with the decision to go there.

I did my research before selecting who would perform surgery on my eyes. After all, that is a scary thought! But 3 hours after the surgery, I could see without help for the first time in my life. They use the latest techniques and the best equipment and everyone there appreciates you. They answered all my questions and told me what to expect honestly. During the procedure the doctor gave me constant feedback to reassure me. Awesome.

Dr. Ashraf was excellent. He talked me through the whole procedure and answered all the questions I had. The whole process took no more than five minutes and I was good to go. The next day it was like a whole new world had opened up to me. Definitely a life changer and I would recommend it to anyone who qualifies.
