Have gone several times over the years. The food is good but pricey. They have an early bird special . . . so go early and save money. The staff is sometimes friendly . . . sometimes snobby. Actually have found the early bird special staff friendlier for some unknown reason.

Took my wife for a special dinner. Food was good. I had an issue with my filet. It came out raw. I sent it back, but they simply cooked it longer. If you do that with a filet it looses its tenderness. I sent it back again and they got it right. Everything else was perfect and the manager apologized profusely and comped my meal. We will go back because they made it right.

Had reservations for 7:15 (suggested, but not required). Arrived around 7 and we were seated right away. Aspen's is a bit pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. Red trout with cheddar grits was excellent (grits especially); daughter's meatloaf from kid's menu (which is actually reasonable), was very good also. Wife's pasta w/tenderloin & shrimp was very good, but the steak & pasta ended up sort of a strange match-up. Atmosphere was very nice as well - a nice escape.

Been to this location twice in the past 6 months. Service was terrible both times ... the food was fabulous so I decided to give them one more try on the service. Poor service again! For the price of this nice meal, the service should be excellent. Might give them one more try!
