I went to athena for 4 years, saw 4 different stylists who still work there now. I have blonde hair and wanted to be a lighter blonde. They said the only way to do it would be to get a full-highlight, which is their most expensive service. I wanted bleach but they said that it was "impossible to do." I researched this and found out this wasn't true. They charged me for toner ($50) on each visit when I actually didn't need it, and insisted I needed to come back every 4 weeks for a full-highlight. I'm guessing this is why they told me it was "impossible..." to make that extra money. I was sad and felt like my trust had been betrayed :(

Weekly salon client for one year. Stayed that long because of its location. Grew tired of paying $25 for a regular manicure and having terrible service. It is one of the few nice salons in Peoria. The salon looks pretty but it is one of the most poorly run establishments I have ever come across. Once showed up for my appointment and the manicurist left for the day (at 1pm) but no one bothered to tell me for 30 minutes. At least half of the time waited on the phone for over 5 minutes just to make appoinments. Major nail technician turnover. Typically wait at least 5 minutes just to check-out. They charge high-end prices but do not give high-end service.

Athena's really works hard to make the customers experience the best. Everyone is very polite and professional. They care about the people that come in. Amber thank you for the wonderful job you do on my hair. I love that you listen to my needs and my concerns.

Now this place has it all. they do hair, nails, facials, massages, and much more. They have it all in a very elegant spa. There prices can be pretty pricey however if you are looking for elegance and top notch service then this is the place for you.
