Just an average American diner
We visited this place once and we did not experience anything special. They offer average American style food. The lack of variation did not make them distinct from the rest. But the service was good. Overall, we were not totally impressed.

Nothing Special
Came here to try the fried chicken and it was nothing special. It was good but not great. At least I know where to go in a pinch.

Great food
I pick restaurants based on whether their food is consistently good. This is one of those places. The entrees are generally American style dishes. Think pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes, or fried chicken with mac and cheese. They also have burgers/sandwiches. The dining area is small but we've never had to wait long for a table. (The bar is huge and what most people go to Atkin's Park for). When you're done eating, make a night of it by wandering over to the bar area for socalizing (always busy) or any of the other VaHi bars withing walking distance.

Neighborhood haunt
Nice little place in VA/HI. Good food, good service, not too pricey. If you don't live in the 'hood and can't walk to the place and have to find a place to park, it may be a bit of a challenge.

try the Chicken Fingers
I love 'em. Atkins is divided into a bar with some booths and pub seating on one side and a restaurant on the other; same menu. Head to the restaurant to avoid the smoke. Fantastic burgers, nachos, salads and beer selection.
