They took great care of me from the second I scheduled my appointment. After an out of town emergency root canal gone bad, I was referred to Dr. Burns. From the time I walked into the office...I knew I was in good hands. Sarena, the receptionist was amazing. She paid attention to every detail of our entire conversation when scheduling the appointment and had answers to questions I didn't even know I had. Dr. Burns was so soft spoken and gentle from her explanation of the procedure and possibilities to the shots of novocain. NO pain during or after...AT ALL!!! Unfortunately, she wasn't able to complete the procedure and had to refer me to a periodontist. Dr. Burns really helped make me comfortable. If I ever need a root canal again...I won't think twice about going back to Dr. Burns. The office is calming, the staff is great, Dr. Burns is amazing!!!!

Dr. Burns (and her staff) were across the board amazing! Professional, well educated, did an outstanding job on my first ever root canal. I was very nervous going in and they couldn't have made me feel more comfortable. I knew immediately I was in the best hands...and I was. No swelling and no pain afterwards. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! When it comes to our health we can't second guess. Dr. Burns is THE BEST!

Dr. Melanie Burns is hands down the best Endodontist in Atlanta. She is thorough, patient, kind, professional and the list goes on. Not only will you receive the best dental care and follow up after your procedure, your other senses will be delighted by the great decor and atmosphere in the office as well. Her support staff is just as professional and courteous. Kudos for this class act for a not so fun procedure! If your general dentist has to refer you, be sure to request the Atlanta Center for Endodontics, PC. You will not be disappointed!!!

I came to Dr. Burns in extreme pain with major infection. I was still experiencing much pain and swelling after her first treatment. I was really suffering. She called me every day and on Sunday came in and worked on me some more...and still called me every day and then had me go see an oral surgeon.,..and still called me every day to see how i was doing. I have never had a Dr. so concerned and caring. She explains everything to you and makes sure you are as comfortable as possible. Getting a root canal is not easy and usually comes with much discomfort...but Dr. Burns made it as easy as it could be. If you need a root canal, I would go see Dr. Burns.

First let me say that I have had my share of dentistry in Atlanta and other cities. When my dentist referred me to Dr. Burns, he said she was the best and when I say he was right ... believe it! The staff worked nicely with my schedule to get me in. Dr. Burns listened and heard me, was timely, professional and was extremely nice too. I've been seen by several root canal doctors in my day and this doctor and office staff are tops. Even though root canals aren't on the top of my wish list, Dr. Burns and staff are fabulous and the office is even the prettiest I've ever seen. I highly recommend her to all.

Dear Katie Breck - We truly appreciate you taking the time write, and for your wonderful review of our office! Thank you! It is always a pleasure to learn that our efforts to always provide gentle care in a professional manner are well received. We appreciate your confidence and the opportunity to assist you with your endodontic care.----Melanie W. Burns, DMD, MPH
I was referred to this endodontist by my dentist. I am suffering a toothache on a tooth I previously had a root canal on years ago. The receptionist said that since this was a "retreatment" the earliest they could see me was December - A MONTH AWAY. I can barely get through the night so I politely said "ma'am this is an emergency. does your office not see emergency patients? Because it's abscessed and I can't sleep through the night." She said yes we do but not if it's already been treated before. Who cares if it's new pain or repeat pain?? Pain is pain right? Trust me it doesn't hurt any less than it did the first time. I was like thanks for nothing and hung up. Don't call these folks if you are in pain.

Thank you for taking the time to call our office during your dental emergency. We understand that dental pain is regarded by most people as among their greatest fears and we certainly do not take this lightly. As a matter of fact, as a Board Certified specialist in root canals, my primary focus is eliminating dental pain. We researched your call and found that during the time that you called, we had a temporary receptionist who was apparently not fully aware of our policies for accommodating patients who are in dire need of treatment. Frequently, patients who have root canals that are considered "retreatment," are not in pain and she may have been confused by the terminology. I apologize for her confusion at such a difficult time for you and certainly appreciate the confidence that was placed in us by the referral. Please understand that we make every possible attempt to accommodate patients such as yourself who have dental emergencies, as that is the nature of our practice. Again, we apologize for your experience. ----Melanie W. Burns, DMD, MPH
Dr. Melanie Burns is the most comforting and gentle dentist. She takes time to explain the situation, and I could tell that she really cares about what she does. Her assistant is very quiet and diligent, she does not try to make small talk, thank goodness, and they work so well as a team together, that I don't mind opening my eyes during the procedure. She has music headsets, and is always asking if you're ok. She is so nice, and even affordable. I will always recommend her.

Thank you for coming to our office, and for your kind words! Your comfort during the treatment is of utmost importance to us. It was a pleasure to work with you!----Melanie W. Burns, DMD, MPH
I was refered to Dr. Burns thinking I needed a route canal. She took the time to assess the situation and realize the initial diagnosis (from my previous dentist) was incorrect. She explained the situtaion to me so I could understand, gave me options for treatments and explained pros and cons to each. I would highly recommend her. The office staff was very friendly and helpful
