If you have a Chrysler van, you will do well to have your transmission serviced at Atlanta Certified Transmissions. Their price was one of the lowest in the area; however, it is their warranty and excellent service that has prompted me to post this review. Check around if you must, but absolutely contact ACT for an estimate before you commit to anyone else.

My oldest daughter drives a 2000 Durango with 187K miles. Transmission started failing so she took it to a national chain and she left with an amazing quote (not in the good way). I found Atlanta Certified Transmission by browsing, gave a quick call and had my daughter take her car there. Great service and almost half the price. Honest and straight forward. My daughter learned a lesson on the right way to handle a customer and I found the transmission place for all of my cars. Thank you Atlanta Certified Transmission!!

I called around on couple of shops nearby the area asking for an estimate on a transmission rebuild on my 98 Honda Civic. You guys were the only shop who had the best quote. I got my car towed there on Tuesday evening and got it out buy Thursday noon. Thank you guys for great service and got my car fixed at a reasonable time.

This was the worst experience ever. As a single parent i am so disgusted with the customer service from Jose and funny thing is yes hes been in business for 22 years but with so many different business names his complaints can never catch up with him! Just like the other review, my initial impression of Jose was hes a great guy his phone demaeanor also the quote he gave which was between $900-1100 was the best deal i came across. My car was towed to there shop and i was also told 4-5 days for thw work to be completed. after not hearing from them on the 4th day I called several times only to get Joses v-mail i called again the next day and got an answering service repeatedly who said they would leave a message and call back. After all this frustration I decided to call back and say I was a new customer instead of exisiting and sure enough Mr. JOse answered with that same sweet voice (sales tactic to get you in) that soon changed into a rude hostile angry frustrated voice once he found out I was an exisiting customer that was just looking for her car! He yelled at me so bad saying he wa not explaining why my car wasnt fixed yet because he had other new customers to tend to.I got my car back 6 days after the 4-5 days promised. It was still not working properly and i took it back to get lubricate placed in it that did nothing. I dont them doing anything else to my car because now my check engine light is on! I wasted $1800 PLEASE DONT TAKE UR CAR THERE

My car was running bad, I call Atlanta Certified transmissions at Snellville, they took good care of my car within 2 weeks, at a great price. Ernie went beyond my expectations. At ATLANTA CERTIFIED TRANSMISSIONS, THEY ARE GREAT, I'm telling you. Try them next time you have a car problem. They are the best in town. Ednal69

They get you in with a good price and warranty. But weeks later and I'm leaking fluid they don't pick up the phone and if they do they tell you to bring it in and wait hours to see if they can get to it. I'm at the shop right now on Hwy 78 and I'm pissed. If I knew it was or had a warrning I would of took my dodge ram and money somewhere else.

Dude, where's my Car?????? It's been two weeks and still no car. On my initial call to Atlanta Certified Transmission(1st Monday), I was impressed by Jose's assurance and quote that my transmission would be completely serviced and returned within THREE days. They sent a tow truck the same day and picked up my vehicle. I had to call repeatedly over the next week to even get a quote for the repair. It was one week before I had a quote for the repair, and then I was told that my car would be finished in three-four days. That was on the 2nd MONDAY, so Thursday I call to find out that work had not even started on the repair and now the transmission would not be repaired until the next Tuesday. If you are considering ATLANTA CERTIFIED TRANSMISSION think again! Over two weeks for a repair that I was assured would take three days??!!! Ridiculous! That, and the original quote was for $900-$1400 and the final quote came in 30% over that at close to $1700. When I finally get my car back I will never go back to this shop again. Hopefully the two year warranty will actually work.

ACT just finished some service for me. My first visit was March 2009 when my Mercury Mountaineer started having trans issues. I'm knowledgeable about cars, did some research and diagnosed the problem myself. It seems Ford has a flaw with the Trans in Explorers/Mounty (see www.explorerforum.com). I took it to Ford dealer and they priced out a rebuilt trans for $3700, but the flaw would not be corrected. I got estimates from national shops for around $2800, but they also were not aware of the proper procedure to correct the flaw either. I ran across an ad for ACT, called and talked to Jose. After I told him the Transmission code and the symptoms, Jose proceeded to tell me the exact repair that I had found in my research. He gave me an estimate of $1800, plus any extra parts, over the phone. I was so convinced that I waited 2 weeks for him to open up his new shop in Forsyth County. After 4 days in his shop, it was ready to go, and the only extra cost was for a rear seal, that he had recommended to replace after tearing it down. The total bill was $1925. Since then, my wife has put 60k miles on it with no issues and I expect it to go another 120k if not more. We just brought it in for some other repairs and they repaired it for less than their original estimate. I have nothing but good things to say about Jose and Richie. They have treated me fairly and with respect, but more importantly, they know what they are doing, do excellent work and charge a very fair price
