I just called this company and asked if I could get a quote for a deck. The lady that answered bluntly responded, "What kind of deck, sir?" in a very snide and contentious tone. I wasn't really sure how many kinds of decks there are so I wasn't entirely sure how to answer. So I explained it was for a new deck being installed at a Midtown Atlanta condominium community. The same tone of disdain came back at me, "we don't go downtown" and then to confirm that she had completely squashed any misunderstanding of what she'd just said she added "OK"....click. I'm sure you can guess what my immediate thoughts were -- maybe "Atlanta Decking & Fence Co" is not the best name for a business that doesn't service Atlanta. Oh, and maybe watch the tone!

HORRIBLE!! Do not use! We did tons of research prior to picking them, even though they were the most expensive bid we received. They assured us that we would "get what we paid for" and that "we wouldn't be sorry" for picking them. They ended up causing damage to the siding of our home, didn't repair it correctly, and never even told us that they had done the damage. When we reached out to the owner of the company, he refused to talk to us and pawned us off on the project supervisor who was extremely disrespectful to myself saying "I don't understand what the big problem is over a few boards that cost no more than $7/piece." They never apologized or took any responsibility, just continued to make excuses and accuse me for overreacting. They didn't seem to understand how it would upset a customer when you try to hide damage that you caused to their home and especially when it wasn't fixed properly with potential to cause further damage. He ended up hanging up on me and no one has reached out weeks later. Additionally, since talking to them, we found 2 railing that weren't even bolted down!! We discovered it during a birthday party...thank goodness no one fell off the deck! I would call to tell them, but they would probably just find something to blame me for, I'm sure. This was absolutely THE WORST customer service I have every experienced. They will treat you like crap as soon as they get your money.

We never knew there was a problem until your email on March 31st where you said that your husband had fixed the siding himself. As I said to you in my reply, I was sorry that we didn't make it more clear to you that you could call us at anytime to fix anything that was unsatisfactory to you, to which you responded that you were aware that you could reach out to us but chose not to. Atlanta Decking has a full time Warranty Manager who takes care of issues like these; however, the customer needs to let us know that there is a problem before we can send him out. We never would have accepted your final payment back in February if we knew that you had any outstanding items. You can still call us at 770-781-4641.
Mine was a redecking job after the composite job they sold me for $25000 7 years ago was refunded in part by the manufacturer. But slick sales suckered us in again, and what we got was good sales job and lousy performance otherwise, from poor product quality to adequate installation, to broken personal property, to incomplete clean up at job end. This company's work crew management is more interested in going from job site to job site, and asking for your payment, than in asking if the job quality meets your expectations and if you are satisfied with the job. Now that I've had this company beat up my property and good nature on two jobs, and not show any respect for me, my property, job preferences or requirements, I cannot possibly recommend that anyone use this company unless you what you want is a fair quality deck at a high price from a sloppy production company with zero customer service skills.

Atlanta Decking and Fence Co. built an amazing, large, covered deck for our modest home! It's our favorite room in the house! They were diligent, skilled, knowledgeable and professional! Our deck looks better than our house! Don't be fooled by any negative reviews; if you can even find one. We plan to have them out to completely design and build a new front porch next. You may have to wait a little bit to get on their schedule but believe me, they are worth the wait!!!

We awarded the construction of our new deck addition to Atlanta Decking, based on the competitive quote they provided and were not disappointed. From the initial quoting process, through design and construction, they were engaged, accurate and very professional. The quality of the work done was very good and they met each commitment they made. We would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Well done!

From the design and quoting process, through the delivery of materials and construction, they were on top of the project and delivered a quality deck, on time, with no drama. Very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the cleanliness with which the workers left the site. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

My wife and I shopped around for months before going with Atlanta Decking and Fence. Our last experience with a deck contractor at our old house went horrible. These really are the good guys. Dave, Rod, and Mandie gave us 110 percent.

Gary, Dave, Bill, Mandie and the whole crew were great. They made it easy. Everyone was 1st class and pros. In two days they made one of our buildings at Lake Lanier look fantastic. Cheers guys.

They rebuilt our aging deck and did a nice job with it, but what makes this company stand out is their commitment to customer service. We had a problem with the deck stairs sagging because a couple of the support boards had warped about 11 months after the job was completed, and they stood by their year warranty, completely rebuilding the stairs at no additional cost to us. That's putting the customer first!

These guys are absolutely horrible. All sales - no service. They did a real slick sales presentation. Spent $15K on a new deck with them. Once they collected our $15K check, they were gone. These five photos are just a small sample of the poor design and craftsmanship, cheap materials, and terrible deck they build. They used unskilled laborers to build our deck. Many problems since our deck was built a few years ago - warped composite boards and railings, blistering and cracked composite boards. Almost every one of our railings is now severely bowed. Deck boards get wavy when it gets hot due to cheap quality composite boards and not utilizing 12" cross beams. It's embarrassing to have guests over to entertain. Horrible customer service after the sale throughout their entire organization - including the owner, Dave. They were not the lowest bidder; they hit us on the higher side. We thought they were quality at first (like so many others) until a few months passed and our deck started showing problems. They consistently blew us off. We gave up on them after making far too many requests to fix our deck. We now need to get our deck completely rebuilt by a different deck contractor. Don't make the same mistake we made by wasting your time and hard earned money with these guys.

I needed some repairs done before I could sell my house and was having a hard time even getting other companies to come out for a quote. Rod and Dave were very helpful and quoted me a reasonable price. The owner, Dave, was very friendly and came out himself after the job was done to patch up some additional trim work. I would definitely recommend them.

They installed composite deck. Decking material defective. Spots all over deck and warped boards. Initially replaced warped boards. They said couldn't do anything about spots all over. Deck boards and fascia trim have continued to warp and now despite repeated emails and calls, they've ignored us. Will not come out to replace and repair. Responsiveness and service poor. Composite decks are supposed to be relatively care-free and it's been unsightly and a headache. They are nice people but I would never have them do any work for me again.

Atlanta Decking & Fence Co. did a fantastic job on the replacement of our HOA Community Fence. From the tear-down and removal of the old fence to the completion and clean-up of the new, the entire project exceeded our expectations and costs. We strongly recommend Atlanta Decking and will use them for our next HOA project.

I needed to have my deck "redecked." They were very good to work with. The workers were on time, cleaned up when done, and answered all my questions. The project was completed to all my expections and I was very satisfied. I would definitely recommend them.
