Mike Litzky with Atlanta Dog Trainer visited our home and provided an excellent and comprehensive initial puppy training session. Our 9 week old Welsh Springer Spaniel arrived to our house in Alpharetta on Wednesday and the time with Mike was especially useful. A word about Mike. He arrived spot on time, was professional in every way and was exceptionally organized. We got to work right away which included a good baseline understanding of a puppy's behavior and what our expectations should be. I really believe this was an in home people training as much as anything. I highly recommend Mike and plan to use him in the future, including a group puppy class this weekend.

We are so happy to have found Atlanta Dig Trainer! Mike is an amazing trainer and the difference in our rescue dog is outstanding. He has become part of our family and we were helped to lovingly guide him past some very destructive and potentially deal breaker behavior. Take your dog here. You won't be let down.

After having our sweet golden doodle trained with Rick at board and train we can actually enjoy her in the house with us instead of constantly sending her outside. Although she is young (4 months at time of training), she came back to us eager to obey her commands. She effectively bonded with Rick, and that bonding easily transferred over to us once she got home. She's still young and full of energy, but she's finally listening to us and is eager to please. We received communication/pictures from Rick during the two weeks, and when we picked her up we were thoroughly informed by Rick of his time with her, his keen discernment of our dog's personality, and our next steps to take with her in the home. He has also continued to check in with us to see how she is transitioning in the home and he continues to give us insight and advice on our girl. The price is well worth the 2 week training program (I looked into another program that was less $ but only 1 week of training), the facility is clean, homey, and there are many areas for the dogs to play, train, and explore. She had a blast! We were also impressed with how many trainers were on hand training dogs, holding classes, and running the place. She came home to us decompressed, calmer, and easier to handle. We have previous experience with a "5 star" boarding/training business with our old dog and Atlanta Dog Trainer is by far, better. We finally feel like we have a dog that is a part of the family.

I thought my Lucie was a hopeless case. Her nickname was "CrayCray". She went in hyper, submissive, fearful and came out calm, obedient and a different dog. She is still the same sweet, playful puppy, but now she listens to commands, waits for her cues and loves to play and interact with other dogs. She much less submissive and has much more confidence. I highly recommend Atlanta Dog Trainer. This is a great value for the money and everyone there is professional and kind.

I cannot say enough! I did Board and Train for two weeks with Elizabeth for my pup Ansley! Elizabeth was so sweet and fully explained everything that Ansley was going to learn and the exact schedule she would be on while there. While Ansley was there, I got photo updates on her almost daily. She was a rescue pup who was treated for parasites previously. While she was there the staff noted some worms in her stool. They treated her and even took her to the vet at no charge (other than the wormer). I was updated about the entire thing. For me, another bonus was the socialization my little pitbull puppy got while being there. She LOVED IT! They did behavior assessments prior due boarding which made me feel comfortable with my timid puppy. On top of all that, my pup learned all kinds of things and is so easy to deal with now! We received an hour lesson while picking her up. I know I will board her there in the future, no cages and staying indoors for this pup! Long review, but totally deserving!

We have a young dog that is very wary and skittish around strangers and other dogs. He's not unfriendly or timid, just aloof. He is also very athletic and needs a good bit of activity. He's always happy and well-exercised when we pick him up. He's visited The Farm for vacations a couple of times and we would never bring him anyplace else. We rescheduled a vacation because they didn't have an opening for him at our originally planned time. They are that wonderful.

I went through level one and two of the ATD school and it was incredible. Wonderful leadership throughout the course and plentiful amount of information to learn. All trainers care about every dog and every client and seek the best results for each person and dog individually! Thank you ADT and all the trainers down there for your amazing help setting up my future!

I enrolled and attended the Dog Trainer Academy at Atlanta Dog Trainer and it has changed my entire world on dogs. I attended Level 1 and Level 2 of their Academy with plans of finishing Level 3 next year. Susie Aga (Owner) was our primary trainer and she approaches our training with a hands on approach; she keeps the environment entertaining while still delivering and showing examples of very important dog handling techniques. She truly understands how dogs and humans learn. Her staff was always professional, always took time for me, and became family to me. I would recommend Atlanta Dog Trainer to anyone looking to make a career in the Dog Industry or simply looking to solve some unwanted dog behaviors.

My little pup loves the farm! the staff is so nice and personal, they form bonds and connections with all the animals. The training program was very effective, we noticed behavioral changes right away! We also loved the photos and updates we got during her stay there. I would highly recommend bringing your dog here!

We were very pleased with the puppy intro class. Michael Litzky was our trainer and was fantastic! The class was a lot of socialization with other dogs which seemed to be exactly what our puppy needed to learn manners! Michael talked to us throughout the entire 1 hr sessions and gave us so much information on what to look for or ways to change behaviors we were seeing in our dogs. He also took time to respond to email when we were having issues at home with growling and resource guarding with our kids... we did what he suggested and had great success! We also did the Board & Train at the other facility & we are so glad we did... our puppy is a great member of our family now! With 3 young children we knew we needed to be on top of his training from the start so certain behaviors did not go unchecked! Thank you Atlanta Dog Trainer!!

My daughter and I went through Susie's level one and level two dog training courses and she truly is the best! All training is done through positive reinforcement and it was a very enlightening experience taking these courses. Now I am looking forward to a rewarding new career doing what I love, training dogs!

From the first phone call with Susie Aga, I knew Atlanta Dog Trainer was the place to go to get my rescue puppy trained. After a 6 week course with Michael Litzky, my 24/7 high energy companion has learned how to become a mannerly dog for much of the time. A 20 page syllabus was provided with every concept for that week explained, demonstrated and then critiqued as all 6 participants took our turn to practice. Michael, a former attorney, is a master teacher - very clear and concise in his explanations of dog behavior, attitudes & techniques. Every trainer at ADT is certified, in fact Susie Aga, the owner, certifies dog trainers all over the US. I hope to take advantage of Agility and the Nose/Scent Work Class, even though I have to drive 2 hours to get there. By the way, ADT has excellent day care and boarding/training programs, even with pick up and delivery service. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and fun best describe this wonderful facility. Baskets full of thanks to Susie, Michael, Tracie and all staff! Photo: Gus in a 3 minute "down".

I sent my pitbull mix to Rick at Atlanta Dog Trainer for a 3 Week Board and Train. I rescued Moose from the Fulton County Animal shelter, and after 3 months with me, he and I both needed some training! Immersing Moose in high-quality, non-stop training environment was the best choice I've made with him. Rick was able to work with him on socialization, commands, and reversal of hierarchy. Rick tailored the training to specific issues Moose was having with me at my work place, which was a blessing. As a 50lb energetic pit, Moose was a terrible leash puller. By no means did he come back perfect, but the difference was dramatically better! It's been two weeks since I got Moose back, and with consistent rule enforcement on my side, Moose has continued his new, well-mannered behaviors. On a fun note, Moose also loved ankle-deep water, but was terrified to swim in pools or lakes. Rick was able to teach him to swim safely and happily!
