First to state that I am a former medical assistant myself. I have NEVER seen such an incompetent nursing staff. I love Dr. Eisenband but his nurse is obviously not trained in medical terminology and back office experience. She clearly does not know how to return a phone call within a reasonable amount of time. I have spoken with the office manager and told her of my problems with her. Even if you leave a detailed message telling her everything that you need, she does not perform the duties. As soon as I get my stomach issues handled, I have no other choice but to move to another gastro doctor because the nurse if so difficult to work with. I will warn you as well that if you get on her bad side, she makes it even more difficult for you. So unprofessional and disappointing.

Was referred to Dr. Critelli due to my previous gastro MD being retired. I had very bad pain in my right side. After waiting a long time in both inner and outer waiting rooms, she preformed an examiniation. Her alarmist demeaner was very scary and shocking. I thought something was seriously wrong by the way she was responding. She immediately ordered a Stat CT Scan to rule out apendicitis. She did contact me later to inform me that scan was okay, but that I needed to be scheduled for a colonoscopy. I was okay with that but her office and assitant bundled the whole process so badly that I did not know what, when or where anything was happening. I contacted her, she called me back and when I explained that the process was unprofessional, she hung up on me! That solidified the overall unprofessionalism. Her alarmist nature does not make her a good MD as she tries to put fear in patients when a doctor should be more reasuring. Especially when nothing is that dire. I would not recommend this MD to anyone. She shows no RESPECT for patients.

I had colonoscopy scheduled with Dr. Critelli for 8 AM. She was to phone in an order for antibiotics because I am a heart patient with a valve issue caused by pneumonia. I arrived by 6:45 AM to find that no antibiotics had been ordered. The nurse called her, but Critelli did not answer her phone and her voice mail was full. By 9:30 AM Critelli had not been reached, no antibiotics had been administered, and the anesthesiologist and anesthetist were waiting. The nurses finally reached Critelli by calling her office and sending someone to find her. They asked her to come do the procedure. She declined because she said I had canceled the appointment. Not true. Her office had called the day before to confirm and tell me my co-pay. Plus I was on the hospital's schedule. Then she claimed my cardiologist had not approved the anesthesia -- not true. My cardiologist had communicated with her practice and given his approval. Finally Critelli said she would do the procedure at 1:30 PM or I could remain on liquids and she would do it at 8 AM the next day. I said no to both and asked Critelli to order a virtual colonoscopy. The virtual colonoscopy center told my nurse they could accommodate me. Critelli refused to order a virtual. No colonoscopy after doing all the prep -- by far the worst part of a colonoscopy. I won't be going back to Critelli. Ever.

I was a patient of this practice 2 years ago for a colonoscopy and was very pleased with Dr. Lyday. They sent me a letter saying it is time for another colonoscopy. Called them to make an appointment. Spoke to someone who took my info and stated they would me in about a week to make an appointment. Fine. Afterwards, an administrative staff employee left a message for me on 08.27.2012 to return her call to make the appointment. She did not leave her extention number or her last name. I returned the call the morning of 08.28.2012 and spoke to someone who transferred me to the employee who had called me. I reached her voice mail and stated that I was returning her call. She specifically stated on her message that she would return the call by the end of the next busines day. Her message also stated "PLEASE do not leave a duplicate message." Today represents the 9th business day in which she has not returned the call. I have called her back several times, but always get a voice message. I can certainly understand a busy medical practice, but specifically indicating that your call will be returned by the next business day...in addition to asking patients not to leave a duplicate message...and then ignoring your call...indicates to me that the administrative staff of this practice is not attentive / empathetic to the needs of their patients...and if they can't get a return call right...how can I expect them to be attentive to my medical info?

I had a visit with Virginia Critelli that turned out to be totally useless and unprofesional. I arrived with all my documentation already completed and 20 min before my appt, in order to make sure that as a new patient I give them plenty of time to get me on time. I waited for 1:40 min before they called me in and only to wait another 40 min for the doctor to see me. The nurse never asked much detail about any of my symptoms, or ever wrote them down and left without saying anything. Dr Critelli spent a total of 10 min with me altogether only to tell me that she sugggests colonoskopy and will probably just give me medication afterwords. I asked that when she does the colonoscopy, she takes care of my hemorroids, and she did not even took a second but to tell me that in that case she has to refer me to someone else that does that at time of colonoscopy. I looked at her confused but took the info. She did not care to talk much more and left faster than the speed of light. Overall, really dissatisfied with the visit and how they handle their patients. Quick to take your money, but you are sure to wait for someone to properly examin you or give you any real medical advise!

I went to the Dr. because of blood in my stool, diarreah, weight loss and constant abdominal cramping. In the past 2 months I have had a colonoscopy, CAT Scan and an endoscopy and still don't have any answers. Not just an answer as to what is wrong but you have to bed and harrass them for test results meanwhile stressing and worrying what is wrong with you. My last procedure was the endoscopy and its been three weeks. I've left messages with Dr. Critelli's assistant and haven't heard a word. I will not be returning. I feel like a rat that's just been sent through all these procedures for a profit. No thank you! I would not recommend Dr. Critelli to anyone because you will spend lots of money and at the end of the day be exactly where you started and with less money in your wallet and more in hers. No thank you!

I was a patient of Dr. Virginia Critelli for 7 very long, expensive, time wasted weeks. I was referred to see a gastroenterologist for some mild stomach discomfort that I had for about a month or so. $275.00 for a 10 minute office visit. The first thing she does is order an Upper Endoscopy and Colonoscopy that came with a $7,970.50 bill. Then $422.00 for blood work. A $165.00 office visit to tell me that everything checked out okay and that I need to have an Abdominal CT Scan. The only thing that was scanned was my insurance card for a $5,905.00. So, after a normal CT Scan, she believes that I should have an Abdominal Ultrasound. $667.00 to tell me that "it looks like I might have a little sludge in my Gallbladder. Another office visit at $165.00 to tell me that I need $768.85 in blood work that will come back normal. Total cost of the mild stomach discomfort $16,338.35. It was almost impossible to get in touch with the doctors nurse. The doctor only worked about 3 hours one day a week at the Roswell office and would not allow me to go to another office because they don't have electronic records. The practice does not even allow you to see another doctor. Now you have the facts and can make an educated decision.

A very unsatisfactory experience; good results with colonoscopy; extremly poor service with administrative assistance and diagnostic test results from hospital; still waiting 3 1/2 weeks since test; promises to call with results never kept. Don't recommend testings...never get answers.
