I had Atlanta Intown Granite install granite countertops and a stainless sink in my kitchen and the sink fell out this weekend. Of course since they are no longer in business and we need the kitchen... sink functional we must fix the sink as soon as possible. Unfortunately we are on our own since they are no longer in business. When I called a plumber to look at the sink he laughed at the way they simpley 'glued' in the sink instead of doing it the correct way. He said he doesn't and won't re-glue it because he doesn't, and won't do shotty work regardless of what I would be willing to pay. Any suggestions?VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Found out by chance today that they're closed & about to declare bankruptcy. My install was scheduled (re-scheduled) for tomorrow. They have my 2 sinks that I purchased thru other vendors and also... have my deposit. I have had no luck reaching the owners to get my sinks (or deposit) back. It looks like filing a police report is going to be necessary.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Please file a report with the atlanta police department. The owners are Joshua M. Crouch & Peter Mcleud. If you are searching for a granite company do NOT use this company, that having stolen from many many people!!!
I'm disappointed to say that all of these reviews are true and many of these situations sound identical to my very own. I'm not going to repeat everthing, so I'll just point out the main points. Do not use these people. If you do, ONLY pay them with AMEX, so you can get your money back. They claim that their credit card machine is broken, but AMEX will quickly credit your account. DO NOT PAY THEM WITH CASH OR CHECK! They missed 4 appointments, which neither was preceded with even a courtesy call. Still no installation...after 3 missed installation appointments. To keep me from cancelling, they offered me a free cutting board, lazy susan, and a 30 sqft vanity top for my bathroom. Still nothing. I waited at their office for four hours waiting for my money. I had to voice record Josh saying I will get my refund by noon on 03/22/10 and I got it in writing. When I went today at noon, the fence was closed and locked. Ironically, anoother customer & one contractor were also waiting at the gate to get payment. After a month of missed appointments, no return calls, & no refund, I have to accept that they are a scam. I have an appointment with my attorney to file suit. It may cost me more to pay the legal fees than the actual deposit, but now it's just the principle of the fact because that was my hard earned money that they stole. CJ Wimberly
This company has NO moral standards! They do not pay their workers or sub-contractors. They rob Peter to pay Paul. If you decide to make use of their services make sure to ask for their insurance-certificate first. Remember that YOU would be held liable if anyone gets injured on your property who is not insured and you have no claim against them for damages to your home by uninsured contractors.
The entire process from choosing our granite to installing were very impressive. Thanks to all the employees. Especially Robert who made our decision making very easy. I would definately recommend Atlanta intown granite.
I had AIG install my kitchen countertops about five years ago. They had the best price and best service. Fast forward five years and I need a piece of the granite removed to do some appliance repairs. Al at AIG was awesome. He gave me a quote for the job ASAP ... then worked late into the evening to ensure the job was done and done correctly. He also came to do work on a Sunday afternoon. I was so impressed with his willingness to go above and beyond with my request. AIG is great. I couldn't imagine using another vendor.
Atlanta Intown Granite was suppose to install my countertops on Jan 3 2011. The day of installation I called to find out what time they were coming. The scheduler, Robert, said "Oh, I made a mistake and have you scheduled for Feb 3. So I waited and waited. When they finally arrived I asked the installer two times if the countertops were sealed. He assured me they were. They are not. When you sit something down on the countertops it takes 4 -6 hours for the wet spot to dry and if it is not water it stains. The General Manager assured me that the service men would be here on President's day because they had several jobs to seal that day. It is now Feb. 28 and I have yet to have a phone call or service visit from anyone at that company. The General Manager has no business running that company. He does not know what customer service is. Do not purchase from this company. Virginia Garrison
I'm a local business owner so good customer service and quality workmanship are a high priority for me. AIG gets high marks for both. I will definitely recommend them!
I have had my house on the market for the last 3 years. I finally bit the bullet and decided to renovate my kitchen. I went to the guys at Atlanta Intown Granite and the results were amazing. They were so helpful and knowledgeable and totally worked with in my budget. I even had money left over. My kitchen looked so good that I didn't even want to move. The amazing thing was my house SOLD in 2 months! How can you top that!
I was recently divorced and renovating my home. I went to AIG and they held my hand through the whole process. The girls in my Bunko group love my kitchen and bathrooms. The moral of this story is.... WHo needs a man when you have AIG! Thanks guys!
Atlanta Intown Granite refuses to install my kitchen after I gave them a 1500.00 deposit, they did 2 no call no shows and cancelled 1 other time. I told the owner Peter that I wanted my money back, and he promised that he would have someone "right out in the morning" of course no one showed up and Peter didn't return any of my calls. All of these reviews are true regarding them taking money and not doing the work....they are THIEVES. RUN don't walk to another granite company...you will regret it if you don't.
The negative reviews here are all true! The install date changed three time, the installers then damaged our home with the Manager promising to repair, another lie! The granite did not fit and had to be re-cut and they charged us more than we agreed to. We are in the process of filing complaints with the credit card company, Atlanta BBB, Angie's List and a civil action. How can anyone this bad stay in business. Buyers beware, if you have any issues, these guys will lie and stop working with you. Wrong on so many levels.
I sent in 4 online quote requests and this was the second lowest but the salesperson here offered to beat the lowest one so I took him up on the offer and they beat the lowest by 5%. They said it would take 1-2 weeks after they measured my kitchen but it took 3 weeks, actually. However, it was worth the wait as they look great and I have had no problems. They hooked me up with a plumber and he fixed my leaky bathroom faucet after he did the kitchen hook-up for only $50!
Frustrating and disrespectful.Virtually no communication after the deposit. calls not returned, never available to answer phone.Had to to be threatened with legal action to get them to even order the product after having the deposit for about 5 months.Don't let them get your credit card info they will charge you without your approval. Installer was good but 7 hours late.
