Prior to AMAC, I had no experience whatsoever with martial arts. When I called AMAC, I was invited to try a week of classes free to see what would be a good fit. Unlike several other martial arts schools I'd called, there was no hard sell or pressure. As a woman who has experienced violent crime in the past, I was interested in self-defense. With their help, we found a class that was a good fit. I have now been attending for 2 years, and I am currently taking several different classes in addition to the one I started with. The result has been self-confidence, a more positive attitude, and I'm in the best shape of my life (it's great exercise !). Most important, I feel like I'd be more able to get out of a bad situation if , God forbid, it happened again. The staff at AMAC are very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. I can say the same about everyone that I train with at AMAC as well. I have learned so much. As someone else said in another review, it's family! AMAC offers at least 7 different kinds of martial arts, and has classes at convenient hours: mornings , evenings, and Saturdays. To sum it up, it has been just awesome, and I am so glad I found this school !
