We had a great experience from the sales representative (Jim MacArthur) to the movers themselves. Calvin and his crew of movers were fast and very careful with our belongings. We would highly recommend them.

I just used Atlanta Peach Movers to move my 1-bedroom apartment from Atlanta to DC, and it was seemless and easy. I talked to Bill Boone who set everything up (678-728-2311) very easily. I had Calvin McGuire and his team pack, load, move, and deliver, and they were respectful, kind, hard-working, and punctual. They worked tirelessly to move my huge couch to the 5th floor. The amount also came in under the estimate. I'm definitely using them again!!

We would highly recommend Atlanta Peach Movers. Everything from the beginning (estimate given) to the end (moving into the new house) was a great experience. The movers called ahead and arrived on time. We were called twice before and during to confirm and to see how things were going. The crew was polite and took extra care with our belongings. I would highly recommend this company and we will use them again!

Watch out! Good job handling furniture but they nickel and dime everywhere. First, I pulled into the house at 9:43 and went inside to start the inventory/summary at 9:45!! I was billed at 9:30. Upon speaking to TOM in the previous days, it was stated the clock starts when we start our inventory conversation and not the time on a piece of paper. So I should be charged 15 minutes less here. 2. We ended at 6:20 not 6:30 and the extra 20 minutes should not be counted as we spent time waiting for him to calculate the bill and paying it at the storage unit, at least 20 minutes. The end time should be 6. The supervisor started calculating my bill on my clock while the movers were done with moving into storage and we were sitting and waiting on him to do the math and call to charge my credit card although we still needed to head to my house to move a few items yet so its was "on the clock on my bill." Also instead of him moving items into storage which would have resulted in less time for me, he was doing the paperwork which added more time and money for me. 3. Look out they will try to use every supply possible....boxes, paper pads. They wrapped furniture without my knowledge and that was at least another 30 to 50$. Those small items added up to $200 on my bill and they didnt even use that much. I would hate to have a big move. Lastly, I have posted on BBB and called and email and have had minimal response from the company. Still waiting....

We are very sorry that you experienced a problem, but we are not in the business of "nickel and diming" our customers. The clock starts when the movers knock on your door, and the clock stops when the move is completed and you are happy. The customer bought this to our attention last Friday afternoon/evening before the paperwork was back in the office. We told her that as soon as we have a chance to review the paperwork and speak to the crew that we could then make any needed adjustments. She said she would email her concerns to us over the weekend so that we could cross reference those with the paperwork. Last Monday morning, she called again, but we did not get any emails over the weekend. She finally did send an email, and we checked the paperwork. A math error on our part resulted in us refunding back 45 minutes of her time. Everything was handled according to standard procedures. Regarding her comment about minimal response from the company, she has spoken to no less than four people here for a combined total of about two hours. We are doing our absolute best to make her a happy customer.
If you ever have a problem with our service, please get in touch with the salesman who estimated your move. Send an email detailing your concerns, and we will respond within a reasonable amount of time. You will note that she has positive things to say about how her furniture was handled. This is what we do; our movers are the best trained men in the business. No other company in North America has a training house specifically built to eliminate 85% of the men who go through our training program. We moved on 9/26/13 and cannot praise Atlanta Peach Movers enough! The crew arrived on time, took great care of our things, and were cheerful the entire time. I have found absolutely NO damage to anything as a result of the move. Highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

No trip fee in original quote then asked to pay out of pocket upon arrival. Keep quality recordings of phone conversations but when challenged to verify accuracy of original quote with date and time of call, can't find or verify. Customer service is weeks behind and not helpful. Majority of movers are slower than molasses to up the hour fee during the move, don't waste your time here.

As of April 1, 2013, movers who are licensed by the Georgia Public Safety Commission are allowed to charge a trip or a service fee up to one hour at your hourly rate. I sit next to the estimator in question, and I hear him give quotes 15 times per day. I have never heard him not go over all the pertinent details of a move including the trip fee. The estimate was for 3 men with an estimated 3-6 hours plus the trip fee. The move was completed within the estimated time at 3.25 hours, and the customer was charged no more or no less than what was estimated. In addition, we were moving the boyfriend in with the girlfriend who had just used us a few weeks before and payed the trip fee without question. The girlfriend booked this move for the boyfriend, but she did not communicate with the boyfriend about how the move was priced. It's unfortunate for Atlanta Peach Movers' that not all satisfied customers don't publish reviews on line. If everyone who was satisfied published a review, then there would be about 100,000positive reviews. Also, regarding pricing, it's cheaper to move Monday to Thursday. When we decided to move from our house in Atlanta, we selected Atlanta Peach Movers based on all the positive reviews. Our move coordinator, Jim, did a great job helping use organize what goods were to be moved to storage, and what would go to our temporary quarters. Marvin and his crew did an outstanding job over a two day period ensuring all of our furniture and personal items were handled and stored properly. After two long years we finally found our retirement home, and once again Jim did a great job organizing the delivery of our furniture from storage. On the day of the delivery we were glad to see Marvin and his crew once again. Over the years, we have moved a number of times that involved the storage of our household goods lasting for several months, and I can't ever remember when we did not experience some damage, but this time we received all our stored goods with NO DAMAGE. What a testament to Marvin and his crew, as well as Atlanta Peach Movers. Thanks Mike & Laura

Do not use this company - they lie to you to get you to sign up with them and at the end you pay a lot more than you should have. I have moved the same amount of stuff the same distance last year and it cost me 35% less! They told me that they charge $145 flat fee for travel and assured me that included travel from my old place to my new place. But when time came to pay they told me they charge $145 JUST TO GET TO WORK!!! So you have to pay $145 just for them to show up at your place and then $145 for each hour they work and drive, which I'm sure included a stop for lunch for movers since there were KFC cups that were left at my garage! The owner is rude beyond believe and he thinks this is not repeat business so he can screw you at the end. DON'T let him do this to you!

The reviewer mistakes us for the company that she actually used, Peachtree Movers. If you click on her name, you will see that she also placed a review on their Kudzu page. We did not move this person, we do not have the same rates, and the owner did not talk to her. Please remember that there is no "tree" in our name, and also consider that all moving companies are different. We booked our move with this company on July 26. On August 13 I called to confirm and our representative assured me that we were set. She was confused that we hadn't received confirmation and said she would look into it. I did not hear back from her. On August 16 no movers arrived and I called at 9:55AM. The office knew nothing about us. I was told I'd receive a call back in 10min. After no call back, I called again at 10:28AM. Again I was told I'd receive a call back in 10min. I received no call back. I called again at 11:18AM and spoke to someone else. She said they had lost our paperwork and were organizing a truck and would have a crew at my house in about an hour. At 12:44PM the crew called to say they would arrive at 1:30PM. An hour after they were to be there and 4 hours after the original time. The crew arrived at 1:30PM and from there the move proceeded smoothly. The company provided a discount of 1 hour. After the move I received no further communication until I sent an email. I did receive an apology call from our representative but no explanation as to what had happened. The fact that they had lost our paperwork only came after I sent another follow up email to the CEO. He was apologetic. This doesn't seem to be the way they normally do business but it was our experience.

In the summer, we are in our busy season doing more moves in a day than some companies do in a month. Consequently, this customer's file was misplaced; however, given our error, we were able to react and bring together an expert team in short time to complete the move in good order. Yes we made a mistake, but it's important to read between the lines and understand the nature of capacity. We have 40 trucks and 100 movers and 30 office staff. On any given Saturday, we get about 10 calls from desperate customers complaining about their movers not showing up. When we ask about the reason the movers didn't show, it usually gets around to price. Here are few typical scenarios:
You book the company that you think is going to be cheapest; 2) The company gets another call from someone else where they can make more money; 3) Your movers are at someone else's house; 4) We receive a call on Saturday.
You book the company that you thought sounded great; 2) the movers no-showed at the office; 3) your movers are indisposed; 4) we receive a call on Saturday.
You book the company that makes you think that everything will get moved by fewer movers in a lesser amount of time; 2) You have gone with a company that is a rogue mover and is unlicensed by the Georgia Public Safety Commission; 3) Your movers got arrested; 4) We receive a call on Saturday.

I wanted to take this time to applaud Ricardo Silva and his crew with our move from the Smyrna area to Acworth this past weekend. All the gentlemen were outstanding. With friends and others complaining and warning of how horrible a move can be, we did not experience any such thing. From the planning and quoting of the fees, for which my husband worked with John Ogle, right down to the loading and off loading of our things, everyone was outstanding. Though I hope to never have to move again, if I had to, without hesitation we would call upon John and request Ricardo and his crew again. We will certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free, hassle free, timely and no hidden fee, move!!

My wife & I spoke with a very nice salesperson, named Ron. He gave us a price, but then when Orlando, the owner, got involved; the prices changed and kept going up because it was the end of the month. We didn't like the price changes, so we emailed Orlando and told him we would use another company and leave feedback on Kudzu.com about what we experienced. His immediate response was, "I will have my attorney contact you ASAP..I gave you a fair price but you kept trying to change it. STOP AND THINK BEFORE YOU SLANDER MY NAME." His next response included, " You go ahead and Slander my name and I will make my attorney come after you because I was so nice to you and tried my best to work with you." We chose to give our money to a company that charged us the same price as APM, simply because they didn't waiver on the price at all because of the time of month we chose to move. Any business owner that chooses to pull the "I'm gonna call my attorney" card based on the possibility of negative feedback on a public forum, should rethink whether or not he should speak to his customer at all. A lot of people have had great experiences with this company, and that's great, but, I just wonder if there are so few negative experiences shared on Kudzu.com because he threatened to call his attorney... I'm sure Orlando will respond with how many customers he has moved this year or some other incredible statistic. Quantity does not equal quality, Orlando.

The customer called our office and talked to an inside sales rep who suggested 4 men and 1 truck. The customer then asked for an on-site estimate and an outside sales rep walked through the house and suggested 5 men and 1 truck because of the additional items going. In between the original call and the on-site visit, the date the customer wanted began to sell out, and the rates increased. The extra man also factored into the price increase. We operate no differently from any other transportation company such as Avis, Delta, Amtrak, or Carnival in that we book and price our services according to supply and demand. The customer had the option to book with either estimator on either date and was quoted the rates in effect at the time. The on-site estimator showed the customer the published tariff and the rates in writing, but the customer said that we were trying to "bait and switch" him. The customer did call Orlando after work while Orlando was with a client, and Orlando took 20 minutes trying to offer an explanation and the potential cost savings by going with the extra man. The customer refused to do business with us and threatened to post a negative review. The reason the prices didn't fluctuate with our competitor is because the customer only called and got one estimate and then booked with them. Please understand that we are at our peak in the summer with our phone ringing off the hook with 45 trucks on the road and 150 employees working long hours. Orlando typically answers hundreds of calls, emails and questions during the day, and he lays awake at night thinking of ways to improve our service. We hate to lose an order, but experience has shown that if we always give our best, then our average will break pretty well. Orlando and the rest of us at APM have succeeded through hard work and want to do the right thing, and given that the customer is himself a business owner, we're sure that he can understand that life is a mixture of give and take. Also, given that he owns a travel agency, we're sure that he understands the the nature of price fluctuations. We do wish him well in the future. After reading reviews in Kudzu, we chose Atlanta Peach Movers for our move from Roswell to Jasper. Tom in Customer Service was great to work with in preparing for the move. The crew that moved us was exceptional, making what should have been a very difficult day a good one. The group leader Merritt, along with Shaun, Rodick, Tony & R.J. were as polite and pleasant as could be, yet worked hard and efficiently for 10 straight hours. I would highly recommend this group to anyone in the future!

We had a local move and an out of state move two days in a row with these guys and both crews were awesome. They must get an incentive to finish on time and without damages. Both destinations and no damage claims! Much thanks to Lamar, Marvin and Darrel for an awesome multi state move.

APM is great because of the great people. Three gentlemen showed up and gave me the upmost respect. These guys were nothing but professional. No need to dread your next move with APM. Do yourself a favor and request Calvin McGuire and his crew. They will do everything in their power to make sure you are comfortable with your move. Again, I cannot say enough about these gentlemen. If I ever move again, my ONLY choice will be Calvin and his crew with APM.
