love it
My son is starting his fifth year at The Atlanta School. He started in kindergarten, my only regret is that he did not start sooner. The love and care the teachers give each child is fantastic. They work over time to make sure each child gets exactly what they need. Imagine being able to teach your own child everything they need, to be the person you hope them to be. That is what TAS does for the children everyday in everything they do. From Math to dance, music to science, language to art. they have it all. Thank you TAS from one happy mom

A unique and exceptional educational community
The Atlanta School provides children an excellent education by touching all aspects of development. TAS teaches kids to read and do math and think critically, through showing them the world and helping them process, analyze and express their experiences. Field trips to historical sites, natural spaces, and cultural destinations, as well as regular participation in graphic and performing arts, are not add-on luxuries at TAS, but are essential tools of the curriculum itself. I have been associated with the school for many years (first as an employee and older sister to a child enrolled), and the children who have passed through have become successful adults in many areas - the arts, finance, microbiology - and are universally creative thinkers and engaged in their communities. Now that I am a parent, when I leave my daughter there in the morning, I rest assured that she will be not only cared for and not even just adequately stimulated educationally, but that the TAS community will exposed her to the vibrant, wide world and will challenge to embrace it in her own way.

Outstanding Quality Education
Our daughter has attended The Atlanta School since pre-school. She is now in the second grade and is really thriving. The school's approach to education is hands on, and individualized for each child's needs and learning style. I really like that each unit of study goes across all things the children do at school, so when they study something in science they work with that in art and music as well.
They also take a lot of field trips to local theater and museums.
The community at the school is terrific. All of the children are encouraged to participate in charity work. The kids do fundraisers for things that are important to them. Last week the middle school hosted a fundraising dinner at the school to benefit Haiti.
I would strongly encourage anyone looking for an excellent education to check out the school.

Creative and supportive learning environment
This school focuses on creating a creative, hands-on learning environment where the kids support each other in the process. Very involved parents are one of the keys to its success. Music and the arts are incorporated in their learning, so, for example, the kids might write lyrics for a song about stars (and later perform it) while learning about the solar system. Very small classes, caring teachers.
