I tried the phone number listed and received an out of service recording.
Our big screen projection lamp needed replacement. I called a shop & they said they had to come out & charge a svc call + lamp + installation. I called Atlanta TV & the lady told me how to remove... lamp myself (in seconds), bring in & they would replace & tell me how to reinstall. Saved me the cost of a house visit & installation and was replaced in an hour! Very nice, honest people. Would go there again.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

being very rude if they can't make more money out of you. be careful of this shop. Better go elsewhere before this shop shows minimum respect to the customer.
My name is Glenn, and I am the owner of Atlanta TV & Video Repair, Inc. We have been in the repair business at this location for the past 20 years, and strive to do quality repairs at reasonable prices.
I am responding to a negative review on Kudzu dated 9/22/11 by "Stercross", and a similar, but slightly differently worded review on Google Help under the name of "Greenatlanta".
In my opinion, this review was written solely to hurt us because we did not comply with his wishes to do an estimate for a devise that we know nothing about.
Facts as follows:
This customer called our shop about a "store brand" non functioning DVR recording devise. He told my wife that he wanted us to tell him what was wrong with the unit, and tell him how much it would cost to repair. My wife told him that we do not work on DVR's and that we could not help him, but he brought it in anyway.
It was a hand held NO NAME DVR and he was again told by my wife that we could not help him. We do NOT work on DVR's of any kind. He was not happy with that, so I came up, and repeated that we are not familiar with DVR's, and that we could not write up an evaluation for him.
For 15 minutes he kept trying to get me to write up a repair estimate so he could pursue it with some warranty company. (further in the conversation he admitted that it was no longer in warranty so at that point, his request made no sense). Each time he asked, I told him that we could not comment on a unit that we know nothing about.( nor could never get parts, since in my opinion it was a "replace only" unit ).
I NEVER asked for any money and never told him that we could fix it....And yes, after being asked 10 plus times the same thing, I got a bit rude, because he refused to accept that I could not ethically give him the write-up he wanted.
Toward the end of this ordeal, he even called the warranty company on his cell phone, and wanted me to talk to them (which I did not).
We have spent 20 years building a reputation for ethical, honest and quality work, and there is no way that I would let someone bully us into saying something that could compromise our integrity.
I am NOT proud of the fact that I lost my patience with this person, and was finally rude, and believe me I was finally very rude.
But if he came in again, and acted in the same fashion, I would probably act the same way.
In reality, HE was the rude one, by continually ignoring what I said, and continuing to disrespect my time by not accepting the fact that I could not give him the repair estimate that he was insisting on getting.
In my opinion, he only came in to talk us into giving him a write-up, and he left angry, because he did not get what he wanted.
If we ever knowingly took advantage of a customer, or cheated someone, then I would be the first to say that a bad review would be warranted...But this situation should never have happened, and in my opinion, it was completely due to this unreasonable "customer"
I recently had my TV repaired from ATLANTA TV & VIDEO REPAIR. I was charged a fair price for a job well done, and the TV was returned to me on the same day! This is what I call good service!
I just had my LCD TV repaired with this family owned business. They walked me thru the potential options, did the repairs within the same day and at a very fair price. What more can you ask for?
I recently had an electronics repair done at this shop and the owner was very fair on price, and did a good job. If you read these reviews you will want to do business with these people. Family owned business and timely top notch service - what else can you ask for?
I brought my dissasembled Microsoft Zune in there with a loose battery wire. He fixed it for FREE. All he wanted in return was for me to refer him some business and provide a positive review. They were great!
I found them online by reading reviews. I drove my TV over. They fixed it in 10 min at a great price. They have been in business for 18 years for a reason. Mom does the paperwork and the Dad is the technical guy. It is unusual to find a small business staffed by the owners who took pride in the quality of their work. Great experience.
We have problems with our big screen LCD, which is 8 months out of warranty. I called to find out if they can help. Sue suggested I call the manufacturer first and see if I could get any response before paying a repair bill outright. To my surprise, they extended our warranty for the problem we're having! If I hadn't called Sue, we would be paying for the repair out of pocket. Should we have problems again, I'll call Sue first!
My television "died" Friday night. I took it to Atlanta TV & Video Repair on Saturday morning. I expected the repair to take a week or so to do. They gave me a fair estimate before they started and it was finished in 3 hours the same day! They were fast, efficient and priced very fair. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone who is need of their superior service!
I called for help in repairing my large screen Hitachi DLP TV. I had done research on the problem ahead of time and had concluded that the problem was most likely a convergence IC problem. They were very knowledgeable and helpful upfront and quoted a price for expected fix but were quite clear about what the costs would be should it be another problem with a more expensive repair and I decided not to have it repaired. They gave us a specific hour time range (as opposed to a half day or longer time period) for the appointment - and kept the commitment. They were very helpful during the repair and provided information that will be very helpful to us should we, at a later date, decide to buy another TV. The cost of the repair - which was indeed a convergence IC replacement, was exactly as they had quoted it. It was also less than half the cost of the previous repair for the same problem. They exceed my expectations on all elements of service.
The owners of this shop are the most honest of any business I have ever dealt with. When a piece of equipment is brought to them, there is no charge for them just to look at it. If the equipment cannot be repaired at a reasonable price, they will tell you. When they can do a repair, they will tell you up front how much it will cost. Their prices are excellent and their service is excellent. I would recommend them to anyone.
Recently had a Toshiba Plasma TV repaired and they were very professional and very reasonably priced!
