Received a puppy from Asa and Katie back in September 2016 and had not received papers by April of 2017. Was really getting concerned and could not seem to touch base with either Asa or Katie. I did finally receive the AKC papers on my puppy. Apparently, DNA had to be submitted to AKC from either the dam or sire or both. This was the fourth Rottweiler I had purchased, in a twenty-five year time period, and had never encountered this process. Didn't realize it would take so long. Anyway, I did receive the papers and all is good. My puppy is now a year old and he is great. The most challenging Rottie I have ever had but I have high hopes for him. He is an excellent specimen of the breed.

I have read some of the reviews. I want to say that I have had a great experience with them. If you read their website, you will see that they do this as a hobby. They have several kids, and have a business outside of this one. I am sure they stay really busy with all that they have on their plate. I had no problems with getting a hold of Katie. She has been awesome. We asked for pictures of the parents, and we received them. They sent us pictures of the puppy as promised. I called her several times asking questions about food, the puppies, scheduling an appointment to pick out our baby, and always got a call back from Katie. When we went to pick up the baby, they were personable and gave us some great information about the puppy and Rottweilers. They are very knowledgeable, and you can tell that they have been around for a while. Our puppy is doing great. We got the contract and paperwork on her shots when we picked her up. I understand people getting upset with somethings, but some of these negative reviews could have been avoided if they went through their webpage. I have never seen a more detailed webpage. Other breeders that I have worked with, never gave this much information. I hope that anyone looking at this will contact Atlanta Haus as they will not be disappointment. Thank you Katie for all that you did for us.

Follow up to my previous review... Nothing has changed. NO registration! We spoke on 21 April 2016 and he said that he only needed to send off for his female's DNA and that I should expect something in about 3 weeks. No response to texts and not answering the phone. I told them that I was considering legal action but was assured it would promptly be completed. Time now to refer this to an attorney.

I would like to apologize publicly for my previous review of Atlantahaus Rottweiler's.I am confident we will resolve any issues regarding our business transaction. There were some miscommunications; however, Katie and Asa have been very professional in their dealings with us regarding our puppy. I have personally spoken with the owner and they are upstanding people who are willing to provide exceptional customer service.

We paid $500 for the pick of an up coming liter. There never was a liter or a puppy. We asked to have our deposit returned. We were told that they do not refund deposits. We called many times and still no luck. Unfortunately, we were beyond the window for PayPal to refund our $500. We have no puppy and are $500 poorer. Do not trust the Owens.

Hi Mark. I hate to see the bad review. We always make sure to tell people at the time of deposit that deposits are non-refundable but can be used at any time in the future towards a puppy. Rottweilers are animals and due to the laws of nature, not every breeding takes and produces puppies. We hate that Esprit did not get pregnant, but we have offered you the pick of the litter female from the two breeding's that we have done since, and you have told us that so far you have not seen a pairing that is exactly what you are looking for. We have just repeated the Esprit and Diesel litter that you originally had your deposit on, and hope for better results this time around. Please let us know if you would like to apply your deposit towards this litter, and we will even discount your total price for the puppy in hopes of compensating you for your wait. Take care, Mark, and as always, please feel free to give us a ring at any time.
We bought a male Rottie from AtlantaHaus, now 4 months old, who is healthy, beautiful, brilliant, and VERY well-mannered. Our little guy is a wonderful family member who gets along with other dogs and kids. He learns quickly and is a joy to train. After interviewing breeders in the area, I chose AtlantaHaus, owned by Asa and Katie Owens, because of their love for the breed and their dedication to producing quality Rottweilers. These ARE NOT backyard breeders - they use legitimate AKC/ADRK registered champions as breeding stock. The following is my breakdown of pros/cons for AtlantaHaus: Pros: 2nd generation breeders with German ADRK stock; welcomes prospective buyers to kennels (which are spotless) to meet sire/dam; happy, well-mannered adult dogs that are healthy and active; excellent follow-up once puppy gets home with new owner. Cons: 1 star ding because it can be difficult to contact breeders prior to purchasing a pup. In their defense, however, I must point out that Mr. Owens is a small business owner and breeds Rottweilers on the side. He gets pretty busy running his business, so be patient. You won't regret it.

Well, we bought a little boy from them we just love him so much. We Have had German Rottweilers all our life's and will all ways be a Rottweiler home. A few things I did have a problem with we tough they would be more personable and attentive with us but very rude kinda know it all character from Asa! All ways a mission to get a hold of him and very full of excuses!!! Something about juggling two businesses or something. But I continued to over look things do to the excitement of or new pup. But I must say this guy never followed thru on most of what he said he would do! or took for ever like we where only on his time! very unprofessional in my opinion. we never saw much on our pup as we patiently waited for or got much info or pics with the dog as he told me he would and we requested. must say very alluring website you would think from how they advertise family and ethics! I must have missed some fine print..lol Sorry guys but if you don't have time to breed don't!

Hi Mike. I am so glad to hear that you are so in love with your new boy!! He is a wonderful representation of the breed, and as I told you so many times on the phone, he is going to blow your expectations out of the water when you finally get to see him!! Sorry to hear that you felt slighted in the amount of time that I was able to dedicate to you during the eight weeks of puppy rearing. Those are the busiest of times around the Owen household. The puppies alone take a tremendous amount of time to clean up after. Add to that all of the further steps we take with socialization and imprinting the pups in order to produce the quality of personalities that people have come to expect from our kennel over the past forty years. Please also consider that we are passing on puppy updates to the other new families (8 in the case of your particular litter) who are eagerly awaiting their new additions to their families. When all is said and done, you just wouldn't believe how little time that there is left over at the end of the day. In this case, I actually spoke with you two to three times throughout the process for every one time that I spoke to each of the other eight customers from your litter. I have seen this in my other business as well, and it is true that some customers just need more face time than others in order to feel like they have received the experience that they had envisioned. I will try to keep this in mind going forward, but at the end of the day, what my family is most concerned with is producing the best puppies in the world, and the vast majority of our time will always be allotted to that end. Take care, Mike, and as always, please feel free to give us a ring anytime!!
Very pleased with my puppy. Shipping went well, and I have never seen a puppy like this before. Huge puppy, perfect type, and intelligence beyond his years. I am a breeder myself, and somewhat hard to please, but this puppy leaves nothing left to be desired. My best rottweiler puppy purchase so far!
