I recently had my child in Atlantic Dentistry and Braces in Long Beach, CA for new braces and teeth extractions. During my initial consultant, I found the assigned sales staff to be very pushy and wanted me to sign a contractor immediately. Although I declined initially I did eventually settled with them as I thought they were the most reasonable. However, I later found the extract cost for teeth extraction almost exceeded the cost for the braces. When I inquired into the cost I was told not to worry because it would be paid by the insurance. Although I am not an expert in medical bills, I believe it's unethical to charge in excess of $3000+ for a little more than an hour of work. I was also told my co-pay would be minimalist but that was also untrue. When I asked for receipts on co-payment, I'm told it's not their office policy to release documents and that I would have to make a request from the office manager. I found the service, especially the front staff to be extremely rude and lack any sense of courtesy. I think once they get your money they treat their patience like cattle.
