Don't even think about going here.
Do not waste your time or money going here. There are much better choices in the Woodstock area. Their billing practices are ridiculous and they have no idea how to work with the insurance companies.

My New Favorite Orthopedic Practice
I found Atlas through Kudzu and couldn't have been more pleased with Dr Wells and the Entire Staff. They scheduled an appt within a few days and even though I was a new patient, I was in and out quickly, including xrays and a shot. If you are looking for a great Ortho, don't hesitate!

Treated Like Family
Over the past several years I have required a few Orthopaedic surgeries. All performed by Dr.Duncan Wells. There's many reasons why I choose to return. His office staff is the best. I'm always greeted warmly and quickly. Dr. Wells always has time to listen and each prognosis has been right on. He always tries not only to give you what you feel you need but has thoughtful suggestions on how to help. You feel as though he has thought about you in the interim between office visits and surgery. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and all of his staff.

Expensive. $400 per minute.
My son had a broken clavicle. ER took x-rays and gave him a sling. Both ER and personal physician referred us to Atlas and Dr. Wells for follow-up. The doctor spent two minutes in the room with us, took no new x-rays, and didn't even examine my son - my son didn't even take his shirt off. Doc said broken collarbones usually heal well on their own. That was it. Our insurance was billed over $800. Needless to say, we have let the ER and our personal physician know that this referral was not a good one. Caveat emptor!

FANTASTIC-What are you talking about arthurb?
I have to comment on arthurb's review of Atlas Orthopaedics. I have been a patient of Dr. Wells for 5 years and have NEVER had any problems with him or his staff. The front office girls have always been friendly to me and the other patients from what I have observed in the waiting room. The office manager is very sweet and knowledgable about insurance and has help me through a difficult appeal process with my BC/BS insurance. The small office staff gives me a very welcoming feeling, not like I am just another face in the crowd. Dr. Wells personal attention following my carpal tunnel surgery was just inheard of. I have never had a doctor personally call me to check on my well being. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Wells to anyone!
