Avondale Veterinary Hospital

We followed Dr. Silk from another practice. She does a great job and actually cares and likes animals - not something that can be said about every vet in town.
We are very happy with the job they do and will continue to use them.

I've been a customer here for a few years and I am extremely happy with both the staff and doctors, particularly Dr Silk, and Rachel and Sheryl up front. Dr Silk has been our veterinarian for many years and we followed her to Avondale from another clinic - she will always be our vet because we have total confidence in her.

I am prompted to write this review due to the great service I got today. I brought my cat in for an overnight stay prior to dental surgery and arrived just prior to closing. Even as nice as everyone is there, I expected to be hurried and dashed out the door due to the time. Instead, Rachael and Sheryl took the necessary time with me to make sure I had all of the information I needed. It's the little things that matter in customer service and I always get that little extra care when I come here.

Highly recommended - you can't do better.

I went to this vet cause the specialized in eye exams. The 15 min exam cost me $150 dollars. That was for the exam only. Medication ran me another $85. I will not be back, I will make the drive to UGA.

I've had a lot of pets in my life, and have therefore done a lot of "vet-shopping". This is any one of those vets with no real caring for animalsa "wallet biopsy" is more like it! I thought their prices were a tad high, and they (I've seen both vets, Dr. W. and Dr. G.) did not strike me as that compassionate or interested. I felt as if we were on an assembly line. Because that, they had a total lack of nurturing towards my "girls", I've never returned. I now go to Whiteway (see Dr. Ruth and you'll never see anyone else!) and the prices are much more reasonable and the care so extraordinary. Dr. Ruth goes out of her way, because she truly loves animals, and not the $$$$. I was not the least impressed with either of these "vets". It's a world of difference"Love me, love my dog"...

I took our family dog in today at this clinic for his shots and a check up. Well the veterinarian--Dr Williams was very UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I just could not understand how 2 staff individuals and a veterinarian were overwhelmed by our dog. I have known many individuals at a VET to handle big dogs. MY 10 YEAR OLD daughter was also in the room assisting with our dog. I have 6 children between the ages of 2 years old and 10 years old and our dog has never been aggressive towards our children. What I believe was unprofessional is how the veterinarian (Dr Williams) reacted when our dog had an accident on the examining table.He threw the towel against the wall and started to talk to his staff members in a very rude manner. He then also talked to me rudely as well. He also refused to trim our dog nails and to examine him further, but we were charged over $200 for the visit! After the visit, I then contacted my husband about the situation. My husband called the clinic to discuss the situation with the staff individuals. Dr Williams reply was " IF YOU DO NOT LIKE OUR SERVICE,YOU CAN JUST PICK UP YOUR DOG!!!!" This was the most horrible veterinarian visit we have ever had in our life . Believe meI will be contacting many individuals about this clinic. It is just sad how our dog and I was treated in front of my 6 childrenINCONSIDERATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!...
