Used to be nice, 10/30/2014

Customer service has been slowly going downhill at the East Cobb location, but my last visit really took the cake. I wanted to open an account, so I brought in 30 or so items (mostly nice business... casual, no suits). As per their guidelines, everything was within the past two years, clean, and most of it was brands listed on their website. The employee behind the counter (dressed in a thin tank-top and cut-off shorts) combed over every piece, then LECTURED me on how women don't dress business-casual for work anymore, because they all wear jeans and khakis and t-shirts so they can be comfortable in the workplace. LOL WAT. If I showed up to the office in jeans and a t-shirt, I'd be sent home in a hot minute!! Shorts Lady just kept repeating "Women don't want to dress up for work anymore, no one is buying this stuff." If it's not what your store is looking for, just SAY that, there's no reason to be insulting and rude. On TOP of that, I found several pieces of clothing with obvious holes and stains. I saw one customer bring an item up to the counter and point out a hole. Shorts Lady apologized and took it, but the second that customer left the store, she put it right back on the rack! Forget this place. Either make the schlep to the Lilburn location (haven't been, but heard it's really nice), or head over to the Revive in Smyrna (REALLY great customer service).

Great quality great price, 11/24/2013

I have been a repeat customer for over 2 years now. I have always experienced professional service and walk a way with some gems for a fraction of cost. I recommend this store to all my friends who... are shopping in the East Cobb area.

Beginner's Luck

I'm new to shopping consignment stores and just my luck - I stumbled into the area's very best on my very first try. The selection is outstanding and the value over the top. But even in today's competitive world, bargains only go so far. What will bring me back again and again is the exceptional service I received. Even though it was just a few minutes before closing, the sales associates welcomed me with open arms, took the time to show me around and made me feel like family. Thanks for the great experience, ladies of BBPD, I'll definitely see you soon!!

An Ideal Consignment Shop

Expect some higher end brands like Talbots, J. Crew and Ann Taylor. But, what really sets this consignment store apart is its extensive selection of designer goods. Tory Burch shoes, Coach bags, Chanel jewelry, Gucci, Michael Kors, Tiffany & Co, Prada, Louis Vuitton - BBPD stocks it all. I've always found the items to be good quality at a very fair price, especially given the designer labels. They also pay consigners some of the highest rates around. This is how the owner, Melissa Baxter, gets such a great selection; her consigners are very loyal and keep the items on the floor frequently refreshed. The review about "people of color" is completely unfounded - ridiculous! Melissa is half-hispanic, and her staff is very diverse. Some people are clearly just looking for reasons to complain and find fault. Five-star rating is based on the impressive inventory, fair prices, and well-run business. Marietta location is fabulous, too - it's located at Merchant's Walk. A favorite!

Maybe to buy...maybe not to consign

Merchandise looks good. I was not happy with my experience consigning here though. Payout seemed low for quality and quantity of items brought. Maybe I am the only one??

Not comfortable with people of color

Very nice store front. Once inside, a very different story. I was followed around as though I was a thief. Manager was very unprofessional, as her child runs around the store annoying the customers and she says nothing to control him. Women of color do not seem to be welcome. I was not greeted, nor asked if I needed assistance. Just followed. I attempted to bring designer items, which were clean and neatly folded. They barely wanted to touch them, as if my things were not good enough. I have been to many consignment shops throughout Atlanta and this was one of the most disgusting experiences I've encountered by far.

I found a gem

Finally went in after stalking them for months on facebook to see some of the Chanel pieces they had gotten in and was blown away by the selection of items and purses. I wanted to buy them all. The ladies working were busy processing and very friendly and talkative as I shopped I'm so excited I found them I will be back

Great finds

I enjoy the many finds I have found in the store. I have gotten many luxury items at next to nothing prices. Most recently I bought a Louis Vuitton that retails at $1800 for $249!!! I still smile every time I carry that purse! I keep an eye on their facebook page to see what other great items arrive. I love this store.

If you're into labels....

I dropped off stuff 2.5 months ago and requested my address be changed. I stopped in Friday and was told my address was changed, but my stuff was never put up for sale OR credited to my account! I was assured it would be found. Oh it was. Miraculously, today, I received a phone call telling me to "come get my stuff" - that it had stains. When I dropped off my items, there were no stains. The young lady that inspected my items went over them with a fine toothed comb and would not have accepted them if there were stains. Trust me. I've had dental work take less time. I was also told that they had called me numerous times regarding this drop off, and that normally it's just donated. Amazing. I've had the same phone number with them for over a year and this is the first time I've ever received a call from them! Unsurprisingly, I think they didn't record WHO the items belonged to and were waiting for the owner to come in and inquire. This last turn of events has pushed me from "formerly satisfied" to "sadly disappointed". To crop an attitude with someone that WAS your customer - is just poor business sense. Key word: WAS. Furthermore, I would expect if someone owns a business, they at least be literate. Some of their Facebook posts read at the level of a 5th grader.
