My daughter and I (and our Jack Russell Terrier, Blanche)took an indoor group class with Chris in Tucker. This was my 3rd or 4th time in a basic obedience class - 1st class with Chris. I learned more from her than from all the other classes combined. Chris tailored her instruction to meet the needs of each individual dog. She is laid back but don't let that fool you - she sees everything you and your dog do and don't do and will let you know how you're doing. I would recommend Chris and her training to anyone. Chris is absolutely the best.Woolf had a very rough start in life before we got him and it showed in his behavior as he grew thru aggression. Chris didn't stop at training the symptoms, she found what the underlying fear is and trains from there. I'm being well trained to work with Woolf as well. I'm happy to say the progress is phenomenal and that I am encouraging my son and his wife to take their new puppy to her when it's time.

After spending over three of her first 5 years at the PAWS Atlanta shelter, my dog Granger was very independent, anxious, and not well socialized. She also had issues with attention and obsessive compulsiveness, and had no boundaries or obedience training when I adopted her. Chris worked with us on a variety of issues and taught us exercises to help Granger bond with and respond to me, to increase her attention span, etc. Those exercises, along with Chris' insightful observations and helpful training tips, have played a key role in the development of the new Granger - a happy, affectionate, well-socialized, increasingly obedient (the obedience is an ongoing process!) companion. Granger and I are both happy to recommend Chris' services!

September 27, 2011 If I had not met Chris Redenbock thru my son in Atlanta, I truly could not have kept Abby. Because of Chris's guidance we conquered people aggression, dog aggression, jumping on and humping guests, chasing cars (on the leash), and various other problems. I traveled to Atlanta around four time a year to both see my son and consult with Chris. Between the actual consultations and phone consultations, Chris's patience and knowledge and many hours with us, I now have a truly wonderful dog. When I first met Chris she explained her method of understanding how a dog thinks and why they do what they do. It has been fastenating watching Abby react and learn by knowing why she does something. Chris has been proven right according to Abby's present behavior. Abby is now a wonderful family member and beloved by all of our family and friends. Thank you Chris for your knowledge and wisdom and vast amount of patience with both Abby and me. Linnie S

I paid upfront to take advantage of the discount offered. As you'll see after reading below, this was a mistake. In our initial session, Chris spent a lot of time discussing non-related issues without realizing she was taking up our allotted time. Then she seemed surprised that we exceeded our time. She was not very reliable with our schedule and had to be reminded on the day of our appointments. Halfway through the course we were not satisfied with the progression and decided to call and cancel. Chris was very defensive and unprofessional on two phone calls. Finally, I sent an email explaining why I was dissatisfied with her service and requesting reimbursement for the unfulfilled sessions. She has never responded or returned my money. She not only did not provide the service she marketed; she was dishonest at every turn. Do not chose Chris!

First, these people did not pay "up front" in the sense of before they received services. No one is required to pay up front for my private sessions. To give an accurate account of how I offer a discounted plan, this client and any other client only decides whether or not to pre-purchase a package of sessions at a discount at the end of the first visit when they are already in a position to know if they liked that first session and the plan for future sessions or not. If they choose, they can also pay session by session but then there is no discount. I did refund their money for unused lessons though it may have been after this review, of which I was unaware until more than a year later as I don't check here much. I mistook the time of one of their appointments. Beyond that, perceptions differ and their account is quite different from my account. These clients seemed not prepared to understand how much they would have to participate in the training process to accomplish their goals in a weekly lesson format with hound adotped as a runaway. The classes were difficult to teach because first one and then the other of them would leave to talk to a neighbor or invite someone in to visit and other interruptions. Great dog, humane owners, different perceptions. Very rarely, student and teacher can be a mismatch. In any case, I regret the disconnect because I pride myself on good relationships with my clients as you can see from other reviews.
Working with Chris has made me a better dog owner. I thought I knew a lot about dogs, but Chris has opened me to new experiences. I highly recommend Chris. And wouldn't hesitate to call on her when the occasion arises. Thanks Chris and a big dog kiss from Blake.

Working with you and Blake was a wonderful experience for me as well. Your willingness to work outside the box for this deeply damaged dog helped create a healing experience for us all.
I just want to say what a great dog trainer Chris is. She comes to your home and evaluates the family and the dog. Then she comes up with a plan to train the dog and the person/family. She gives exercises which can be used practically in everyday circumstances. Eventually the bad behavior goes away, because the dog and the owner now understand each other. Thanks for helping us make our dog a true member of our family!

I'm not sure which client you are since you didn't sign, but thanks so much for the kind review.
Chris' approach to training dogs is completely unique and refreshing. Her advice and guidance is specifically tailored to each dog and owner that she meets. Her ability to understand how my puppy, Roscoe, was interpreting my movements, speech, and body language, totally changed the way I interact with Roscoe as well as the way he responds to me. She not only helped me train Roscoe to understand me, she taught me how to understand him. My day to day life with my puppy is very different since I started working with Chris and I recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and experienced trainer.

You and Roscoe are so lucky to have each other. He's a great rescue puppy and you're an ideal owner. It was a joy to work with you and I look forward to seeing the good you two will do in the world together.
My dog Jackson and I started working with Chris, the owner of the balanced dog, about a year ago. We had reaced a plateau in our training and were having some behavioral issues I was unable to find solutions for with other trainers. Chris gave us several options and tools to use to modify Jackson's behavior. She looks at the dog's behavior and where it is coming from in order to solve the problem. She is also an astute observer of the human part of the team and offers insight into how the owners behavior is affecting the dog. She gave me more confidence to be able to better manage Jackson. Chris is a talented and insightful trainer with a lot of knowledge and can help any dog and owner.

You and Jackson came to me like the odd couple, both of you so wonderful but so different: You, the dedicated and gentle dog owner and Jackson, the super jock of the dog world. The challenge was to get two such different personalities on the same wave length so you could understand and enjoy each other. So often people think that loving a dog is enough. But you and Jackson clearly adored each other and yet had communication barriers to start. Watching the two of you grow together has truly been one of the reasons I love this work so much. I wish you both luck in your new city and I'll miss you a lot. Chris
Chris is a wonder to me. I rescued a sweet little aussie mix in Feb 06. she got along fine with other dogs until a new neighbor female dog moved in and crawled under the fence and attacked Bonnie. She had Bonnie down by the throat. after that Bonnie was fear aggressive and this was a big problem in our agility class. I became very nervous as well, fearing that her best defense offense would trigger a big dog to really go after her sometime. Chris was very patient in training me as well as Bonnie to handle strange dog situations. Bonnie has new found self confidence and relaxed demeanor. Everyone in my agility class comments on the positive change after our work with Chris. I am also certain that our work enhanced Bonnie's obedience in a way that has helped our agility as well. Chris has a great understanding of the neuro psychology of dogs and explains WHY something does or does not work, This helps alot. Bonnie and I are very grateful for all the help chris provided.

Thanks so much for this review. I have to say, it was fun to have a client in a similar field so that I could talk about the technical and theoretical level stuff. I enjoyed hearing about your successes at agility class as Bonnie and you got better and better at fielding challenging situations that would pop up out of nowhere. Thanks!
Thanks to Chris, my first dog - a very aggressive male - was able to become a beloved family pet and live to the ripe old age of 15 1/2 years! He could easily have met an untimely end if it hadn't been for her knowledge of dog behaviour and her patience - with both the dog and the owner! She is currently helping me with my second dog who is displaying erratic mood changes which may have to do with his epilepsy. And - she recently helped me deal with a rescue dog that I fostered. This dog was a tornado of energy and bad doggie behaviour that I would not have been able to deal with for two months without her help. Thanks to Chris, I was able to work with him until he found a teriific new home. Again, the knowledge she has of both dogs and their owners and the patience and calmness with which she handles them both is invaluable to any frustrated pet owner!

I was amazed and more than a little flattered that you searched for me after we had both moved to different states since I worked with your first dog in the 80's. He was a memorable challenge made all the more difficult by the fact that you had young children at the time. But you are a very determined, organized and courageous person and you worked diligently on every detail to create a success. I am so privileged to be able to help you again with your current dog's ups and downs and the rescues whose lives are made better by their stay at your home.
