Have been taking my dog there for about a year (bought the stupid wellness plan of which you cant cancel or you pay a fortune). Still pay a fortune every time I take my dog there. Just recently my... dog was bitten in the neck by a copperhead poisonous snake. They told us to bring her in charged me $270 dollars to then tell me I have to rush her to the ER and keep her there overnight. Take her to the ER only to find out that they gave her steroids when she needed anti-inflammatory and that Banfield has the worst reputation and I could have brought her straight to the ER (which cost me $350 to undo the mess Banfield did) luckily got a referral to a better Vet and better health insurance.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I took my new puppy here because of the wellness plan. They wern't bad, but I did need to wait quite a while for office visits, even when having an appointment. They also give your dog unnecessasary vactinations.
Took my dog for shots - she ended up projectile vomiting and defacating lots of blood. I called the vet and they told me not to bring her back but to take her to the emergency clinic because they would be closing in 30 mins. Any good vet would have told me to bring her back. I will never go there again!
the first time I took my puppy there 3 years ago, they charged me for tests they didnt do(surprise my dog had worms). I gave them a 2nd chance this year and they charged me for tests they didnt do. In addition, they gave my dog an exprired vaccine! I did research and found out that banfield hires people right out of vet school with no experience. Lastly, they push products your dog doesnt need the whole visit and their wellness plan is terrible.
My dog was supposed to be treated for a dog bite, and instead ended up having to go to a pet emergency room to have the gaping wound that Banfield created stitched back up. Come to find out, all he needed was some antibiotics and could have forgone the surgery. I have since canceled the Wellness Programs on all my animals and will gladly fight them in court when they come after me for non-payment.
when my puppy was ill i called them for advice , and they provided it
I first picked Banfield because I am a first time dog owner and I am also a worrier. I signed up for the wellness plan so I could go as often as I wanted. Dr. Harris has been very kind and helpful. The staff in general doesn't seem very knowledgeable. They mess up my appts. on a regular basis. Now that my puppy has just been fixed I'm seriously considering canceling and finding a new doctor.
I can't believe all of the raves Dr. Harris is getting on this site. To me and my Boston, she's not gentle enough and the staff doesn't even like her (I've had conversations with some of them). Dr. Freidman, on the other hand, is a very knowledgable doctor who will try to save you money instead of telling you to spend at least $40 on just about anything that is wrong with your dog. Overall, the staff is pleasant but, though this is the only place I've had pet insurance, seems a little steep in additional fees you have to pay for your pet care. If your interested in a pet care plan, I would recommend shopping around first and then deciding on if this is the place for you.
My first experience at this Banfield kind of worried me, and I wasn't going to go back because of one of the pet nurses. He's no longer there though, and Dr. Harris is great about explaining problems and options. A few times I've had to wait a long time though.
Dr. was great! Gave me treatment options and took into consideration amount of money I was able to pay. Very Helpful and knowledgable!
i swear it is like having another car instead of a pet, i have had my cat on the pet insurance for 3 years and everytime we go in i end up shelling out more money and they always want to raise your plan for a more expensive one. the staff does not seem that knowledable and the vet leaves more to be desired beware
I love Dr. Harris, she's great...wonderful with my dog! But the wait times can be a little too long...expect to be there about an hour. But she is very much worth it. And they always call the next day to check on your pet.
This location is awful! They lie about things that are wrong with your pet to get more money out of you. They push their stupid wellness program over and over. I had tests done to my dog and they refused to tell me the results unless I came to have more tests and pay them more money before I even knew what was wrong. This is horrible place to take your pets!!
I have used another Banfield location as well as this one and find the hours open and the prices charged to be very good. It is a chain and probably some locations are better than others but the quality of care we have recieved has been very very good.Thet have Saturday hours!
One of the mail reasons I started using Banfield was that they have walk-end appointments and on weekends! Myc at started sneezing Friday night and I was able to get her seen Saturday after a only a short wait.
