Nothing new here to say that hasn't already been said except that her assistant now is Rose. Dr. Banks is wonderful, spends time really talking to you, listens well, understands women and their stresses and issues. Unfortunately she has an assisstant that is rude, disrespectful and incompetent. My 5 phone calls over 2 weeks to get blood results and a prescription issue addressed were not returned until 24 hours after the 5th call. I'm sure they are busy and I could understand if some culpability was expressed. Instead, Rose told me I was lucky to get a call at all because she was calling after she should have been heading home...it was 4pm. She then proceeded to tell me one blood result and that was it. She was rude about even addressing the prescription issue. She did not have the information in front of her and asked me to defend my need of the drug. While I was responding she put me on hold without telling me so I was speaking to no one. She comes back on the phone with a "thank you for holding." I had no idea that I was holding. When I gasped at her rudeness she said she was only calling about the Vitamin D blood results. No information about the other results was given to me and the prescription issue is still unresolved. While I really like Dr. Banks (she is wonderful physician)I will not be returning because her assistant is horrific. How sad. I have informed the practice of this.

My visits with Dr.Banks seemed to be very good. She examined me and we reviewed all medications from other Specialist/Physician. I was sick and didn't know why! I went to her to diagnose illness. I found out later after trip to emergency room that my other specialist had prescribed too much of a serious medication. I went to Dr. Banks with complaints of -----------. Nothing was done for my complaints. I called back and left messages. Saying I was getting worse. I ended up going to an E.R.!! I was sick!! There at the ER,a common blood test was given and the Drs looked over medications and knew dosage was wrong! They knew right away which drug caused my symptoms. I feel this trip to ER could have been prevented with some blood work. I suffered for weeks. Dr. Banks could have ordered at least some blood work! She physically examined me and spoke with me, that was all! Then I got sicker. I kept calling Dr. Banks nurse to let her know I wasn't doing any better. My illness was not addressed, the nurse didn't return calls. So I assume, Dr. didn't recieve messages or did she!I don't know!

I'm very happy with Dr. Banks - but her office is a nightmare. The staff couldn't care less about anyone. Her pesonal assistant Jemessa, not only ignores patients completely, but has no information when she calls you, has a surly and abrasive attitutde and she needs to learn some compassion or move to another career. The Office Manager is a horrible bully, used to treating people like dirt and if I could find another Doctor I like, I would leave solely because of her office staff.

I've been a patient of Dr. Banks's for ten years. She's amazing and has really seen me through some tough times. Dr. Banks is compassionate, thorough and kind. She's one of the best doctors I've ever had!

This doctor used to be great, but my latest experience has me never going back. After an hour and a half wait to see her, I was ridiculed and treated extremely condescendingly for pouring my heart out about a recent rough time I'd come to seek help for. I won't be back.

I found Dr. Sandra Banks on Kudzu. I was very pleased. Just visited her once. She listened and answered my questions. I am definitely going back when I need to see a doctor next time.

Dr. Banks is the best in primary care. Excellent doctor. Great bedside manner. It was hard to get an appointment with her because she is so busy and I can see why. Everyone asks for her because she's so wonderful!

Having experienced the horrors of the medical industry and been given the run around by many doctors who are too busy to listen, refuse to listen, or only want to throw as many drugs at you as possible in order to persuade you to leave their office quicker, Dr. Banks is a godsend. She listens, allows you to speak your point of view, respects others' opinions and education, and spends time with you, never rushing you or cutting you off. Not only that, but she actually remembers concerns brought up in previous visits and follows up on things. She is also quite willing to recommend complementary alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, massage therapy, and nutritional supplementation instead of solely relying on drug therapy. Unfortunately, I have been seeing her regularly due to a serious health issue, but I am very happy to have found such a great doctor who truly cares.

Dr. Banks is so good, that I have HMO insurance and not a whole lot of money, but I'm trying to figure out a way to come back to her practice, even if I have to pay out of pocket. The HMO is convenient and the copays are mad cheap, but what good are they if I don't get the level of care and experience I got used to with Dr. Banks? I am very grateful to have had her in my life. She is competent technically, of course, but has an excellent bedside manner, to boot.

Although Dr. Sandra Banks is busy, she is a great primary care doctor. She is not the type of doctor to give drugs for everything, but she is the type who will listen and really help you in any way she can. GREAT bedside manner.
