This facility is great. It's huge and very clean. The staff is very friendly, and my 10 year old mastiff gladly went with the them on his first visit. They were were very excited to see my old guy... and that made me feel very good about leaving him. I did a bath as well because he gets pretty stinky. There prices are about on par with your typical boarding facility.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
As a veterinarian, I recommend Bark Avenue to all of my clients. They have taken excellent care of my personal dogs for 7 years and I am VERY picky about my dogs. There are lots of choices in... Atlanta but I won't take my girls anywhere else.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Bark Avenue is wonderful. Our dogs have boarded there 5 times this year. Bark Avenue exceeds our expectation. It is so clean. The enclosures are very large, even the least expensive ones. The outside area where the dogs are walked and played with is HUGE and well fenced with no place for a dog to escape. The owners of Bark Avenue are wonderful people who rescue stray dogs and find great homes for them. They give attention to the dogs boarding at Bark Avenue like they were their own. The groomer is the best we have ever used. Our little American Eskimo has never looked so good. Our dogs are old and take lots of pills and have special diets because of lots of health problems. Our German Shepherd has hip problems and we worry about her when we leave her but she has come home walking real well after being at Bark Avenue. They make sure she doesn't fall and the 5 walks a day keep her joints loose. We are also able to bring her orthopedic bed to Bark Avenue. The American Eskimo is blind so they give her extra help and attention.

My dogs Layla and Tucker LOVE going to Bark Ave. They are always in the suites and just love the bed waiting for them. So much that Tucker runs straight for it and claims it as soon as he enters the room. Mrs. Vena, always takes the time that they each get the attention they both need. This place is Awesome.. I would never leave my dog anywhere other Bark Avenue! ITs the only place I trust!

For years Iíve listened to a friend tell me how much his dog loves going to Bark Avenue. Two years ago after I adopted my dog, I checked it out. I wanted to find a good place to board my puppy and a dog daycare center where she could safely socialize with small groups of dogs. Bark Avenue fit the bill perfectly. When we pull up to Bark Ave., my dog canít wait to get inside to see her friends Ė both canine and human. Vena, Simon and everyone else at Bark Avenue treat her like sheís one of their own. Iím so glad that I found such a great place to take my dog.

I have been doing business with Bark Avenue for over 12 years. I only had 1 dog for the first year then we acquired another. I have 2 Westies. They tear the doors down to get in once we pull up in the parking lot. The owners care more about the well being of the dogs than they do money. This is the reason they do not do open boarding and one reason I have used them for so long. I am not an advocate of open boarding. In my profession I sell many of the boarding places and vets. In my opinion a large group of dogs need to be monitored by professions that know what to do if there is a scuffle. From what I see it they are supervised by teens or otherwise not trained personnel. I would never leave my dog at at open boarding facility. Of all of my friends that I have known to use this kind of boarding have had problems with biting or other dominance. I have recommended Bark Avenue to many co-workers and friends and they have never came back to say anything negative and they still use them.

This is a great place where the owners actually care about the dogs and don't just put on a front like a lot of other kennels. My dogs have special needs and require special care and Bark Avenue gives that and more. My dogs are loved and safe, unlike other places who throw 30-50 dogs together.

Perhaps I didnít know what a boarder was all about. My first experience was with Bark Ave. My decision was based on location, website claims, and reviews. Website mentions Private Rooms - this really means metal pens stacked side by side by side by side....They do not appear to limit the # of dogs boarded so it was frighteningly noisy in there. My lil pup spent one night and was shaking like a leaf when I picked her up :( I will never go back. They didnít give her the treats I brought like the website claimed. I knew this on the front side, but this is a non-socialized boarder, meaning there is no doggy playtime. Everything reminded me of how dogs are locked up in a pound. Certainly not the way I would prefer my pet to be treated. The website also claimed there are TVs showing animal friendly moviesĖit was on the PGA tournament. I do not care about my dog watching TV, but I think itís important a place does what itís trying to sell itself on. They also mention soothing piped-in musicĖcompletely inaudible over the 60+ barking dogs. I shouldíve been more selective in my boarder. Iím upset w/ myself for subjecting my dog to be stuck in a cage for a day/night, unable to sleep and scared to death b/c of noise. Iíve done more research and am going to try Dogma off S. Cobb or It's a Dogís World off Veterans Memorial. They both appear to offer more intimate settings w/ true rooms for the dog, limited number of dogs boarded to minimize stress, and encourage doggy interaction/playtime.

Bark Avenue Pet Resort is an excellent place to board your dogs! Vena, Simon, and the staff are so wonderful and friendly, but best of all, they are GREAT with the dogs. You can truly tell that they care for animals and know what they are doing. If you are looking for a place to board your dogs and are questioning if Bark Avenue is a good facility, trust me, it is!! You will never have to worry leaving your baby behind! I volunteer with a rescue group, and we board some of our dogs here. We have had the most positive experience! Highly recommended!!

Our Siberian Husky has her "home away from home" at Bark Avenue. They share a love for animals and it shows. We are so thankful to have such a compassionate place to leave her when we have to be away. We praise Simon, Vina and the dedicated employees who make this such a special place!!

I worked at Bark Ave for six years and the only person that would write such a ridiculous thing is a former groomer. They treat the dogs so great. It is a shame that someone knows that the owners take great pride in their REAL Kudzu reviews that a rejected independant contractor (rejected due to a lacking work ethic) would post something so untrue.

After the touring of Bark Avenue Pet Resort I relized that the staff are two old confused people that dont have a clue what a dog needs. I thought I had no choice but to use their services because I had to fly out of town last minute and on my return to pick precious up, he was limping from lying on the cold concrete with no blanket to lay on because they prefer not to be responsible for articles that my precious wanted to have with him. He just stayed for two days and thank goodness that he wasn't their longer or we would have had to carry him out of there....Their are many other places that Precious will enjoy much better for just a few dollars more. Good Luck and remember you get what you pay for....

I used to travel for business, but even though I no longer do----this is the BEST place to have your dog in daycare or boarding!! It is a family owned and operated facility. They truly go out of their way to take care of your dog(s). Yes, they do use oversized pens to house the dogs = better than crates all day! But some dogs, like mine, may be rescues and don't handle mixed socializing well in "open forum" situations. They are also very reasonable priced. But then what loving "mom" or "dad" wouldn't put the same high standards of care for their dogs as they would for a Children's Daycare Center!!!

My 2 dogs have been going to Bark Ave for years. I used to live right around the corner and it was convenient, but now I live all the way across town and still make the trip to board them at Bark Ave. One of my dogs is blind - the folks treat her like one of their own. I never worry about them when they are away from me. The place is super clean and the staff is wonderful.

I cannot say anything negative about Bark Ave. Ebony was our first to stay here and he loved it. He was always so tired which meant he had a great time. I had to put him to sleep in '07 and Robin offered to go with me to help me. I thought that was great since she loved Ebony I think as much I did. My other dog Precious gets excited in the parking lot and runs to the door that leads back to her room. I am very pleased with Bark Ave for everything they do. They treat you like family and loves your dogs like they were their own. Thank you to everyone at Bark Avenue.
