Bark Avenue Pet Resort Inc

Perhaps I didn’t know what a boarder was all about. My first experience was with Bark Ave. My decision was based on location, website claims, and reviews. Website mentions Private Rooms - this really means metal pens stacked side by side by side by side.They do not appear to limit the # of dogs boarded so it was frighteningly noisy in there. My lil pup spent one night and was shaking like a leaf when I picked her up :( I will never go back. They didn’t give her the treats I brought like the website claimed. I knew this on the front side, but this is a non-socialized boarder, meaning there is no doggy playtime. Everything reminded me of how dogs are locked up in a pound. Certainly not the way I would prefer my pet to be treated. The website also claimed there are TVs showing animal friendly movies–it was on the PGA tournament. I do not care about my dog watching TV, but I think it’s important a place does what it’s trying to sell itself on. They also mention soothing piped-in music–completely inaudible over the 60+ barking dogs. I should’ve been more selective in my boarder. I’m upset w/ myself for subjecting my dog to be stuck in a cage for a day/night, unable to sleep and scared to death b/c of noise. I’ve done more research and am going to try Dogma off S. Cobb or It's a Dog’s World off Veterans Memorial. They both appear to offer more intimate settings w/ true rooms for the dog,limited number of dogs boarded to minimize stress,and encourage doggy interaction/playtime....

Bark Avenue Pet Resort is an excellent place to board your dogs! Vena, Simon, and the staff are so wonderful and friendly, but best of all, they are GREAT with the dogs. You can truly tell that they care for animals and know what they are doing. If you are looking for a place to board your dogs and are questioning if Bark Avenue is a good facility, trust me, it is!! You will never have to worry leaving your baby behind! I volunteer with a rescue group, and we board some of our dogs here. We have had the most positive experience! Highly recommended!!

Our Siberian Husky has her "home away from home" at Bark Avenue. They share a love for animals and it shows.

We are so thankful to have such a compassionate place to leave her when we have to be away.

I worked at Bark Ave for six years and the only person that would write such a ridiculous thing is a former groomer. They treat the dogs so great. It is a shame that someone knows that the owners take great pride in their REAL Kudzu reviews that a rejected independant contractor (rejected due to a lacking work ethic) would post something so untrue.

After the touring of Bark Avenue Pet Resort I relized that the staff are two old confused people that dont have a clue what a dog needs. I thought I had no choice but to use their services because I had to fly out of town last minute and on my return to pick precious up, he was limping from lying on the cold concrete with no blanket to lay on because they prefer not to be responsible for articles that my precious wanted to have with him. He just stayed for two days and thank goodness that he wasn't their longer or we would have had to carry him out of there.Their are many other places that Precious will enjoy much better for just a few dollars more. Good Luck and remember you get what you pay for....
