Old-world Bavarian restaurant and biergarten in Ruisseau Village in Plano.
The Bavarian Grill provides a large selection of foods and biers tinted with German authenticity. Looking through the menu, you can see this theme is taken seriously, as the selections are given their proper German names (accompanied by the description of the dish in English). The atmosphere and food are enhanced by the live accordion music, a nightly feature at the Bavarian Grill.
This is my husband's favorite restaurant. It has authentic German food and beer. The live music, and the train that runs around the restaurant keep the kids entertained. This restaurant is always crowded, and is not open on Mondays.

I agree that it would be nice if they were open on Sundays and Mondays. This restaurant is a big hit for both me and my wife. But last time, December 31, was a bit of a disappointment. The menu selection was very limited, perhaps because of what night it was. We also learned that salads were no longer included with the meals. Our server, though polite, seemed unattentive. But the food was nonetheless excellent. So we do plan to come back.

This is a great place to take a group. The live music is hilarious, and you can even join in the merriment. I loved the variety of rolls, and the food was good also. German food isn't my normal preference, but I liked the schnitzel. The most memorable thing was the fabulous biergarten atmosphere. (My friends loved the beers!)

I was pleasantly surprised when I dined here. The spaetlze (german dumpling) and shnitzel (thin breaded veal cutlets) were great. The sauerbraten (german roast) also divine! Of course they had great german beer, and lots of wine. I however am not a fan of german wine... way too sweet for me.

Get a table in the main dining room and enjoy the festive atmosphere of this German biergarten. There's an actual biergarten with picnic tables outside, but the entertainment (and more comfortable chairs!) are inside. While you eat great German food - love the variety of rolls they serve with dinner, the wienerschnitzel is awesome, great german salad - and drink good German beer, you'll laugh out loud at the 2-man band. Their rendition of "Do, a deer" is funny. They do requests, and often ask for audience participation. It's a bit pricey, but worth it once in a while.
