Bear Mountain Painting team did a great job for me. They installed crown molding in a couple of rooms, painted the main living space walls and trim and shoe molding. Very professional and neat. Work was done on time and done well. Communication during process was very good and questions addressed promptly by whole team.

Excellent experience. The painters were very cheerful and polite. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up everything when they were done. I was very impressed with how well they matched my paint. Seamless job on drywall hole. I highly recommend this company.

BMCP far surpassed our expectations in every aspect of this project. The project manager came out and discussed in great detail the extent of work. His expertise in materials and processes were invaluable in saving us time and money. He emailed us a highly detailed estimate and description of work, showing optional items usable to match our budget. I cannot over-stress the trustworthiness, professionalism, competency, and cooperativeness of every person involved with this project. It's quite unusual to see such consistency throughout the personnel of any organization. You will rarely experience such clarity of understanding about what will be done and exactly how, when, and by whom as you will with this company. And the value of all this attention to detail becomes eminently obvious in the pleasure of the experience and the final results. About pricing, Bear Mountain is not a low-ball contractor. If your only qualification is cost, you can likely find someone cheaper. If quality and peace of mind are higher on your list, youll be very happy with the value of what this company has to offer. Obviously we are beyond pleased with the quality and appearance (and the cost) of the completed job and the over-all experience. WILL use BMCP again.
The job entailed painting the interior and exterior framing of two windows which had been replaced a month earlier plus re-painting the walls (2 coats) of an atrium foyer, and very large 2-story atrium family room, two stairwells, a large 2nd story landing area, and a dining room, plus intricate stairwell trim in the family room area, plus all 6 inch baseboards and door facings in all five rooms. Truly a major undertaking.

Thanks so much!
Bear Mountain Painting is top notch in customer service! From the initial estimate to the completed renovation, our satisfaction was their priority. We were unable to be onsite but the repairs and updates to our home were handled seamlessly. The job summaries were clearly outlined and the proposal/estimate was exactly as shown. If additional repairs were needed, they contacted us immediately and we discussed the options and price. There were no hidden surprises at the end of the job. Rob and Sonja were a pleasure to work with and each email/phone call received an immediate response. Jeff, Dan and the crew were amazing. The job was handled with efficiency and quality work. We are thrilled at the transformation of our home after the rotten wood replacement, pressure-washing and painting. And the final clean-up? The crew left the site in better condition than before the job started. It was absolutely beautiful. Not one nail, scrap of trim board or even a slip of paper was found. We will be repeat customers of Bear Mountain Painting and highly recommend their services. You will be pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail, and standard of excellence.
We purchased a home in Big Canoe that was in need of maintenance/repairs after sitting vacant for several years. Bear Mountain Painting replaced a good portion of rotted wood trim, reskinned the chimney due to rot, pressure-washed, sealed, caulked and painted the entire house.

Thank you so much!! I will pass on your kind comments to Jeff, Dan and the crew. Please let us know if we can help you out anytime!
I used Bear Mountain several years ago for interior painting of a few rooms and was very satisfied at that time, so when I needed some more painting work done (interior and exterior) I decided to go with them again. The quote underestimated the amount of exterior boards that needed to be replaced (according to the crew when they got onsite), which resulted in the exterior job taking longer and costing more to finish. Because the crew left the interior work until last, the crew chief told me that he was getting pressure to complete this job from the main office and therefore rushed through the interior painting portion of the job. The quality of the interior work was sloppy and items that I had been told would be done were not done or not done correctly. I had the crew correct a few mistakes the last day they were here but by the end of the job I didn't trust the crew to be able to fix some of the items to my satisfaction so I gave up on that front.
Exterior powerwashing, painting, repair of rotted wood on window and door frames. Interior painting of several rooms and bathrooms and patching of small holes behind bathroom light fixtures.

We recently had Bear Mountain paint our living room, dining room, kitchen, stairway wall and ceiling. The customer service, job estimate, and pre-job work was very professional. The painters did a good job of covering furniture, flooring, and all associated fixtures. That being said, the actual painting was not as professional as I would have liked. The rep and I identified 18-20 areas during the walk through that needed touching up, some were quite obvious. After almost 3 weeks of no contact, I had to call and remind them about finishing. It was almost 4 weeks from the time the job was finished until the touch-up was completed, excessive to me. If I was there at initial finish, I would have not paid until completely satisfied (my wife paid them and hurriedly gave them excellent marks on their "report card"). Some of the rolled walls were touched up with brushes which was sort of odd to me since you can tell the difference after drying., not so professional. At this point I was done. If I have another painting project I think I will go with someone else as I cannot recommend this company

So sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied- after getting the great report card at the end of your project, we are very surprised to hear this.Hopefully we can do a better job for you another time.
Very professional and detailed proposal and contract. No other company provided this type or quality of proposal. Good coordination between sales, production and owner. Communication with company was outstanding. The painting crew were professional, courteous and respectful of my property. The quality of the job was such that there was no need for them to come back to correct anything.

Thanks so much. Let us know if we can help you with any projects in the future!
This company charged up front $450 for 8hrs of painting. They show up with 1 supervisor and 2 non English speaking workers. They proceed to tear off the pre-tape and cover we placed for the job and walked around in circles for 1hr and 45min while they got out their own tarps (they left a 20ft tarp full of paint in the middle of our living room by the way) and only painted. Mind you there were only 2 people painting for less than 45 minutes. To prove the point they used less than a gallon of paint. Let's recap. $450 for 8hrs of painting = less than 2hrs of actually on premise time and less than 1hr of actual painting time and less than a gallon of paint used for $450 dollars. THAT IS 100% ACCURATE AND CORRECT. But it gets worse. They informed us at 2hrs they had to clean up but painted part of a door. If we paid them $60 in cash on top of the $450 they would complete the door or at least 1 coat and we could pay them off the books to come back and finish. So $510 out of pocket and 2 walls partially painted and less than a gallon of paint. NEVER USE BEAR MOUNTAIN CUSTOM PAINTING THEY ARE CROOKS. ROB FROM BEAR MOUNTAIN CUSTOM PAINTING IS A THIEF.

I Have never experienced anything so untruthful in 11 years in business.
He actually handed the crew leader a signed Bear Mountain report card and gave us all 5's out of 5 and wrote "Excellent! Great Crew!". If anyone would like to see a copy of it, we would be glad to email it to you. He told the crew they did a great job and he would be calling us back for more work. He also gave each of the 3 guys a $20 cash tip. This is the extra $60 cash charge that he referred to that the crew leader made him pay for extra work.
What is absolutely so disturbing is that fabrications like this might lead to someone losing their job or getting unfairly reprimanded. Fortunately, this crew leader has worked with us for 2 years and has done more 150 Bear Mountain projects. He is an extremely honest, hard-working, and professional family man. He regularly gets rave reviews and many customer requests to return.
This person is wanting money back, and is apparently willing to go to great lengths to get it. We were initially considering refunding the money, but could not do so in good conscience. If this were simply a client not thinking they did not receive great value or that we were not a good fit, we'd be happy to work with them on a mutually agreeable discount or refund.
Here are the emails I received from this client just today :
"Rob, Check Angies List in the am for a few surprises by end of business. Your online presence is about to take a turn. You should have returned my $450 and sent my $60 but you did not. Time to entertainment the Web with colorful truthful commentary about your scam company and cheating ways complete with pictures. Sit tight and enjoy your ratings go down in flames. Ps. Keep the money not that big a deal. Your tarp will be on the news....."
"Check Angies List & Yelp & Kudzu for your TERRIBLE REVIEWS and more on the way. As promised this is just the beginning. It's not about the money now Rob. You run a terrible company and do not deliver as promised. Your business will never be the same"
"Just hit 2 more site with your reviews. This feels good. It feels right."
"Better Business Bureau complaint begins tomorrow"
Seems a little unbalanced.
I phoned the customer that day to follow up and he said he was pleased. Then we saw a very negative report on the AL website a few weeks later. We were very surprised. I phoned him and tells me how horrible everything was. When I asked him what we would like to do, he said that if we did not dispute his American Express refund and return the $60 cash, he would remove the review. We were inclined to do so since the amount was small, but thought ultimately it was not right. So here we are.
We are an honest company who is straight with our clients and stands behind our work. Thanks to all of our wonderful clients who love us.
We got several quotes for painting the interior of our house. I can't speak to how the quality compares to the contractors we did not select, but Bear Mountain's price was by far the best and they did a phenomenal job. Our friends have commented that our home looks like a completely different house thanks to the superb job done by Bear Mountain. We will definitely call them in the future!

Thank you so much- we look forward to helping you again!
The whole experience was pleasant and professional. I got a timely response from Jared and Sonja was great. They were able to fit me in sooner than originally scheduled because they knew time was of the essence. The work itself was good and completed within 2 days. The project lead came back out for touch ups as well. Overall, great job.

Bear Mountain was able to come out and paint our entire main floor the same day. They went the extra mile and patched a few spots on the wall and filled cracks in our crown molding.

I have used Bear Mountain before and was very happy. They did drywall in my basement several years ago and did a wonderful job. This time I needed my stipple ceiling removed and painted. Overall the job was done decent, but was very rushed. The contract spelled out a process and materials very specifically yet they did not follow the process nor use the specified materials. The rushed job is visible in very bright light where you can see wavy parts of the ceiling where they clearly rushed. They rushed the cleanup and were gone before the walk through. In their defense they are very willing to repaint with proper materials as it seemed it was a communication issue. Overall they did a good job of cleaning up and the job was adequate, although there are a few carpet stains I need to try and remove. The supervisor seems to not be as engaged as he should be. When returning for touch ups and repairs it was more excuses as to lower my expectations and a trail of dust behind them. The owners have been very apologetic and are willing to resolve any issues and make me happy. The problem is it pretty much too late to fix so I am stuck with wavy ceilings in some parts. Lesson learned.
