WORST IN TOWN, 7/03/2011

Run don't walk from this place. They are expensive, dishonest, rude, etc. There are plenty of good bike shops. Don't waste your $$$$ here.

BEWARE; DON'T BUY FROM BICYCLE JONES, 7/12/2010

I wouldn't buy a gumball from this place. They are dishonest, untrustworthy, rude rip-off artists. To be brief, I rented a bicycle from Jones because they were out-of-stock and Jones claimed he... wanted to "keep my business"-if I rented a bike he would credit that amount towards the purchase of that bike/another. In the interest of supporting a local business, I agreed. On the phone Jones quoted $400 for the bike, when I went in it was '$450', and after renting it was '$550' w/no mention of a credit. I also bought a bike rack from Jones and they bent my car roof all up when installing it. Even though they initially told me they were sorry and gave me a body shop to take it to to get it fixed, when it came to paying Jones tried to tell me my car was defective and that they were only partially at fault. He said he would pay $100 'to maintain good customer relations'. Are you kidding me?! Good customer relations would mean being honest, doing the right thing, owning up to your mistakes, having people skills, none of which seems to be in Jones' agenda of how to conduct the proper business. I now understand why Bicycle Jones relocated to a smaller shop and barely had any bikes, you can only stay in business so long when treating people badly before the word eventually gets out. Maybe when his business is reduced to hocking used bikes by the side of the road he'll have an ephepheny, but in the mean time it looks like I'm headed to small claims court!

Not sure how long they will be around...

They used to be a better shop but now it appears they are getting ready to close. They stock very little, you must order almost anything, the shop is now dumpy, they always charge more than the estimate. This used to be a nice little shop but now it seems as if they are no longer investing in the business, taking cash for any inventory and not restocking. They can be nice people but the owner is very moody...
