There are two bike shops closer to me than The Bicycle Wheel. I'll drive/ride past them to go to The Bicycle Wheel. I'm not a racer. I don't ride a fancy bike. But when I come into the shop, Amos and the guys there treat me SO WELL in spite of all that. I know a lot of women don't get much attention in bike shops. I've felt that way in other shops, but never here. They treat me like I have a brain. :) And that's awesome. Thank you, guys!

I have been shopping at the Bicycle Wheel for 4 years. Scott and Amos helped me get back into cycling, a sport I loved and enjoyed in my youth. The did not push me and guided me as I progressed at my own pace. With professional advice and equipment, I now can ride a half century! I am thrilled. I am very familiar with many of the bike shops around Atlanta and their staffs. They are all good shops, but I feel at home and always welcome at The Wheel. I recommend you stop by to shop, for mechanical support, or to join their weekly group rides. Outstanding local business and you can tell owner Scott Jones really cares and loves the sport.

The guys at The Bicycle Wheel are fantastic. I'm new to town and these have really helped me out with servicing my bike and getting me into some group rides. There level of service is the best I've experienced here in Atlanta and they will always look after you. If you are looking to buy a bike, get a bike serviced or simply need some accessories this is definitely the place to go.

I've stopped in several times for adjustments and minor fixes. The people here have been so helpful not only with the mechanics but in giving riding tips and encouragement to this novice bike rider. I give them my highest recommendation!

I always loved bikes and I remember the shop filled with bikes that I used to get my bikes from. They would maintain my bike and when the time was right I would get a new bike from the shop. Well, I found a neighborhood bike shop at the Bicycle Wheel. A few years back I went to get my junky bike adjusted, Scott did what was needed (and didn't laugh at the dinky bike). When the time comes for a new bike. The bicycle wheel will be one of my first choices.

Scott and Amos at The Bicycle Wheel are both very knowledgeable, personable, and good at what they do. This past spring, I (a relative newbie) was looking to have a road bike built up out of a hodge-podge of old, used components. I called around and visited several shops in the area (including one of the big chain shops), and the Bicycle Wheel's price was definitely competitive, if not the lowest (it's been a while). What tipped the scales in their direction was the time that Amos took with me to go through each and every component to be sure it was functional and compatible with the others, and help me come up with a list of other smaller items (rim tape, cables/housing, derailleur bracket, etc) that I needed to acquire before the build. None of the other shops took this type of time with me at all, just gave me a rough quote without even glancing at my parts. Scott did the build on my bike, and I have been very pleased with it to date. So, overall a great shop, and I'm glad to know and use these guys. The only reason for 4 stars on 'value' is that their accessories can be a little on the pricey side and can be found significantly discounted online. But, local bike shops can't really compete there, and where these guys shine is in their service. Also worth noting: the Saturday morning group rides are a lot of fun and a great way to get initiated to the sport.

Scott and Amos really know what they're doing and really care about their customers. I get my road bike and my mountain bike serviced here and really appreciate their honesty and attention to detail. Couldn't recommend anybody any higher.

I purchased a bike about a month ago from them. Prior to my purchase, Scott (the store owner) gave me a wonderful tutorial on shifting gears. He also informed me that they have lifetime free maintainance on bikes purchased there. To back that up, within a few days, I managed to knock the chain off the gears. When I took it in to be fixed, one of the staff happily fixed it for me at no charge. Also, they even installed new tires on my husbands wheelchair at no additional charge (we paid for the tires only). All this took place over 3 separate visits. At each visit, we have found the staff to be extremely friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase a bike or replace wheelchair tires.

After speaking to the shop by phone, I took my bike in for a tune up and advice, hoping that their advertisement as a family oriented, practical bike shop would be true. Tyler took my older bike, spiffed it up, and turned it into a dream bike! I am so pleased! This old Nishiki pueblo mountain bike is now fantastic...gears shift smoothly, brakes are excellent, handlebars are just the right height, everything about the bike is perfect! You can't beat the excellent customer service and down to earth dealings! My son, who drove me across town to p/u my bike, was complaining, "Why did you bring your bike all the way HERE?" But after he spoke to the staff and saw how friendly and warm they were, agreed that I had chosen the right shop!

I've been in the market for a new mountain bike, so last weekend we hit about 10 different bike shops to test ride bikes. The staff at The Bicycle Wheel was courteous and very knowledgeable about their bikes and components. The sales guy even recommended a cheaper bike, based on my riding style. The prices were definitely less than what we saw at other places. They offer lifetime adjustments. Great place to do business. It would be great, though, if they were open on Sundays.

The Bicycle Wheel seems to have everything you would need for your bicycle as well as accessories for riding. I felt that there pricing was reasonable and they also offer repair services. They are open until 7 pm in the evening too as well as both Saturday and Sunday.
