From our first meeting to the last, Bill always felt like a friend. A friend that always created a safe space for sharing and offered interesting and insightful comments to our discussions. This was my first counseling interaction and it was one of the most positive experiences in my life. I was slightly broken when we met, but after our time together, I feel like I was able to put the pieces back together. As I traverse life's paths, I find comfort knowing that Bill is there to help me if/when I need him. And I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a genuine, perceptive, and kind adviser to help them through life.

Thank you for taking the time to extend this deep affirmation of the potential for great change that is in all of us. May your positive growth continue to build and extend into all areas of your life.
Bill is an amazing therapist that gets to the root cause quickly, understanding the deep-rooted issues and offers lasting resolutions. Bill was able to save my marriage and allow me finally to understand my true feelings and change my reaction to hurtful situations. I have been to some therapist for years and they just bushed the surface and kept me in a state of hurt. Bill took me back to childhood to the exact traumatic experiences and then brought me forward slowly with love, understanding and compassion to be a strong, dynamic and passionate adult. Anyone who is seeking lasting change for very deep-rooted addiction issues from a therapist that "gets it" and is not motivated my money, but by changing lives, will be very satisfied by Bill Herring. The addiction has been eliminated from my life and now I can live the life on my terms, not following a false master. Bill has a gift that few therapists possess and I would highly recommend his services.

Thank you so very much for these deeply affirming words. I hope the positive changes to your life are ever-lasting.
At a low point in my marriage, the bottom of my work career, my only way out was death. Thank God I found Bill. I used Bill as a marriage coach and a career coach and I got much more than that. Today I'm sober in my two main addictions and my marriage is BETTER than EVER! I've let go of my Home Building career identity and am happy working today. THANKS Bill!

I thank you deeply for this heartfelt testament to the potential for great change that we all hold inside of ourselves.
Bill was great to work with. He is kind, a good listener and non-judgemental. He helped me get through some of the darkest times of my life and taught me to believe in myself. I highly recommend Bill and have already referred others to him.

I'm very grateful for these kind words, and referrals from past clients are the highest compliment I can possibly receive.
I have seen many therapists over the past several years of my marriage to a recovering addict. Bill helped me focus my attention on myself and my children and to take the steps I needed to grow. He stands out to me because of the personal connection he strived to create. He encouraged email, and responded quickly, so there was contact available outside of the office setting. He was flexible in his scheduling and reasonable in his pricing. I am grateful that I was able to work with him during such a tumultuous period in my life.

Gosh, thank you. Addiction is tough, as anybody who has dealt with it (either in themselves or in a loved one) knows firsthand. I'm glad to provide useful help during such trying times.
Bill Herring helped me through the process of recovering from addiction and with marital issues. He is very effective and knowledgeable and is an excellent life coach. I continue to see on a regular basis and would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with addiction issues or marital issues...MB

Thanks very much for this affirmation. I greatly value the opportunity to help people deal with a wide range of addiction issues. And being able to help couples to heal and grow is very emotionally rewarding work.
Mr. Herring helped my boyfriend and I get "un-stuck" on an issue that really threatened our relattionship. In just two sessions we were on our way again enjoying a more fulfilling life as a couple. Thanks Bill.

I enjoy helping couples as much as individuals, and I also value the importance of brief counseling as much as longer-term situations. Many of the couples I see experience a great benefit from just a few sessions that can make a temendous difference for years to come. I know that will be the situation here!
I can honestly say that Bill saved my life. I have seen him off and on since 1990 beginning with the death of my mother. I have seen him individually, with my husband and in group settings. I had moved from Atlanta and have had experience with other therapists. None have been as effective as Bill. I recently began seeing him again and drive from West Cobb to his office in Tucker gladly. I believe that Bill is above and beyond the best therapist in Atlanta.

Some clients come into my life for awhile, then I don't see them for a long period of time. When I see them again after long absences it is a marvel how they have both changed and yet are still the very same beautiful person they always were. My long-term clients often teach me valuable lessons about how life is to be lived each day, in both good and challenging times.
Words cannot express how much Bill Herring has influenced my life. I was suicidal and in a deep depression and Bill gave me hope. He gave me kindness and compassion. He guided me with love and understanding. Truly, I am a better person since I have met him. I would recommend him to anyone that is going through a dark place in their life.

I feel so relieved when people in the darkest of holes reach out for help. Life is a precious gift and sometimes we can lose sight of that in the depths of our pain. The world is a better place for people like you.
Bill has been helping me for nearly two years. I never thought in my life that having someone to help me through my troubles would have made such a difference! I'm working through my addiction and many other issues. With the help of Bill, I am now the happyest that I can ever recall, and enjoying life. I see that I wasn't a subhuman but a person with troubles that needed a guiding hand. My family is at peace! Thankyou Bill!!!

I have deep appreciation for clients that I work with for short periods of time, but when I have the opportunity to walk with someone for a longer period I gain an deepened admiration for the wonders of the human spirit. Thank you very much.
Bill truly is "One of Atlanta's most effective therapists." I echo many of the comments already posted. Bill is genuinely gifted as a therapist. He has been guiding me through some difficult terrain and I feel empowered at the end of each session. I have no doubt that he has my best interests at heart. At times, I have felt confused before my sessions but with Bill's support I have been able to articulate what was essentially not spoken before. I feel understood, and his unconditional acceptance of me very genuine. The value of his wisdom, therapeutic skill, and compassion is immeasureable.

Thank you for taking the time to affirm my professional calling. I personally know the immense value of acceptance and compassionate counsel at crucial times in life. I'm so glad to able to pass these gifts on to others who can then continue the chain around the world.
My family came to Bill at the DARKEST hour of our lives. Having never been to a therapist, not to mention bringing my children along, I did not know what to expect. We were all surprised at the sensitivity and perception in which Bill possessed to handle our desperate situation. Immediately and methodically Bill helped us tackle our problems and now months later were are all healing and are better people because of Bill. He is simply the BEST!

Thank you for honoring me with these words. I am often blessed with clients who enrich my life through their courage and depth of spirit.
I can honestly say that Bill Herring saved my marriage. I came to him with some issues of my own that were threatening to sink my marriage, and Bill was able to guide me and then me and my wife through solutions that turned out to work wonderfully for us. I can say that our marriage of 11 years is now stronger than it's ever been, and it is definitely due to our work with Bill. He is one of the gentlest, non judgmental souls I have ever met. He has the perfect demeanor for this job. I would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone needing help!

If I can help a relationship to heal and grow then I am can sleep well because children are often the one who benefits the most. I've seen some really dire situations come back from the brink of utter destruction, so I never want to give up hope, but sometimes people wait a really long time before seeking help. If you are struggling in a relationship, get the assistance you need now!
For the period in which I saw Bill, I found him to be one of the most non-judgemental people I have ever encountered. While he would call upon me to be honest regarding behaviors or attitudes taht were unhealthy, or, perhaps, "underdeveloped," I felt that I could really be honest, and therefore get the best advice. I always felt that he had my best interests at heart. I first saw him weekly, and then moved to a less frequent check in. We dealt with a variety of issues that affected my ability to be at my best, from chronic minor depression, to marital discord - but ultimately I came back to what I originally came for, which is that there were certain life goals I wanted to acheive, and felt stuck and unfocused and unable to do so. In the end he proved his integrity by recommending (against his own financial interests) someone who specialized in the kind of life and organizational skills what I was looking for. He is to me a counselor, a life guide and even in general terms a spiritual advisor. I would not hesitate to return to work with him again if the time came that I felt I could use it. I still read his blog and find it very helpful.

The word "integrity" is a watchword of my practice. People come into counseling because they are struggling in some way and the last thing they need is someone to "string them along" for financial gain. If another therapist can give better care then that's who I want my client to see I'll move on knowing that I've done my best. By the time clients learn about me through my web page (www.billherring.info) and these reviews they generally can tell if I'm going to be the right person for them. If this turns out not to be the case, we'll deal with it in a professional manner for the client's highest welfare.
I went to see Bill several months ago, because my marriage of almost 20 years was in shambles and I was miserable. I was certain that things couldn't get better if my husband didn't change his ways, yet he was unwilling to go to counseling. I finally decided to go alone, in hopes that I could learn something, anything, about how to cope. I was apprehensive at first, since I had never been to a counselor/therapist before, but Bill made things very easy and comfortable. He is a great listener and he ever so gently injected nuggets of wisdom and insight that proved to be right on the mark. With his guidance, I learned how to distinguish between what is mine to fix and what is not. Bill also helped me to identify and start addressing my own self destructive beliefs and attitudes. It's an ongoing process, and it's working. I'm now happier and more grounded, regardless of what others say or do. Furthermore, my husband seems to have noticed my change and he's responding in a positive way. But best of all, with Bill's patience, skill, and guidance, I'm on the path to stopping a generational pattern that could have had a profound, negative impact on my two school age children. Bill seemed to know exactly when to listen, what to say, and even when to suggest that I was ready to "fly solo". I know that there will be bumps in the road, but I also know that Bill is available if I need help getting back on track. Thank you, Bill!

I thank this client for taking the time to write such a moving review so articulately. It's a powerful truth that sometimes we are able to make changes in the way we conduct ourselves that will have a profound and positive effect on future generations. Can anything be more meaningful?
