HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, 3/31/2012

I contacted Bliss Midtown to book services for five people. It took numerous phone calls and messages to actually get through. I finally had to call the GM of the W hotel to get any response. One I... did, they didn't seem to have enoughtstaff on hand to book our appts and I had to call back several times to make sure our reservations were confirmed. My service started 30 minutes late! Also they neglected to give me and my party spa slippers as they said they would. I found whole spa to be just sort of an after thought in the hotel, hidden away in the basement, the lounge area appreared to be dirty. The rug just looked like a cheap old Target rug that definitely needs replacing, out dated mags, etc. Grant I was pretty aggrevated by the time my massage started but it was just mediocre. I was hoping at least that would be a good experience. DO NOT book services at this place.

No complaints, 1/14/2009

I came to Bliss during Spa Week and was very happy with the services. The waiting room had great magazines and yummy snacks (e.g. really good brownies and some nuts or dried fruits). My facial was... really good and my face was glowing for several days afterward. I treated my boyfriend to a massage and he was so happy about it. He had a great experience. We both felt very relaxed and renewed afterward-exactly what a spa should do.\r\rThe place was nice looking and looked clean and neat. \r\rSomething I did not like is that I had to pay $20 for parking because I didn't park in the right garage. I did call beforehand and asked about parking and was told that they comp parking and to park in the garage instead of valeting. I parked in the garage adjacent to the W hotel and was later told that the parking for the spa is across the street in the Actor's Playhouse. That is something that should have been mentioned when I called to specifically ask about parking.
