I was unhappy with my current dentist, so I set up an appointment at Blue Creek Dental since it was near my office. On my first visit, I was told I needed to have a panoramic x-ray and then was told I must have 6 cavities filled asap. I was shocked because I had x-rays taken two months prior, and no cavities were found. Instead of letting them drill right away, I got another opinion. The x-rays at the new dentist showed NO CAVITIES at all. If you want extra dental work that you don't need, make this your new dental office.

New to Atlanta, I was depressed about finding a new dentists (a good one is SO hard to find). I found Blue Creek through some fantastic reviews online, so I thought I would add to them with some good news of my own. Some quick notes - Clean and beautiful office. Friendly staff - office and hygienist (I had Ashley - easy to talk to, did a great job with the cleaning) Dr. Shaeffer was easy to talk to, informative and approachable. Did not have to worry about value at this point because we have really good insurance right now. They did suggest getting fitted with a night guard some time soon (not covered by insurance) and the price didn't seem crazy (abour $300). They were willing to set up payment plans as well. All in all - great experience. Highly recommend them and hope you have a cavity free visit when you go!

After more than a dozen dentists (plus random ones in the Air Force), and Dr. Shaeffer will be my last dentist, as long as I live close enough! My Mother's dentist (a family friend, taking no new patients as he is semi-retired in Macon) confirms the craziness of the bogus negative reviews here by "alyons2" and "laughs" (aka "April" on Google's reviews) - no dentist makes such mistakes or needs business bad enough to lie. My personal experience of more than 2 years says the same - great work, gentle advice, as comfortable as dentistry can be! I referred my girlfriend and a co-worker to him, and they are both happy!

I know this man has good reviews, but they've obviously never had an honest dentist: This was my worst dental experience EVER. I've been to the same dentist all my life and was forced to try someone new due to insurance. I saw he had good reviews so I was confident things would go alright. The staff were friendly enough. I am 27 and have had 1 cavity my whole life, he told me that I had THREE. He was ready to set me up an appointment to drill into my mouth and have them filled. I went back to my old dentist for a 2nd opinion:he told me I had NONE, my mouth was fine and not to worry. This man is either dumb or a crook, take your pick. Keep your mouth and money away from this man!

I went to Blue Creek Dental last month for a visit. I had not been to the dentist in a while, but the first thing I noticed was the punctuality of the staff, I had arrived for a ten o' clock appointment, and was pleasantly surprised when they sat me right away. I was seeing Dr. Shaeffer by 10:05. After some x-rays, he did an exam and a cleaning, and they accepted my insurance, so there was no bill for that visit. I had a few cavities, so I set another appointment and just went back in last week to get them filled. I was done in about 40 minutes and didn't feel a thing. Dr. Shaeffer was awesome. He finished in no time at all and gave me a really great explanation of why I had gotten the cavities in the first place, and how I could avoid getting them in the future. I will definitely keep going back to see Blue Creek Dental!

Blue Creek Dental has helped me for several years now. I had previous bad experiences at other dental offices in the past. Dr. Shaeffer and his staff make sure that I am comfortable every visit and has helped me with some major dental problems that other dentist have overlooked. Their office is a first class facility and they use all new technology. My favorite is having T.V's to watch in the dental chair, Big Plus!! B. Scott

New in town, my husband and I tried Dr. Shaeffer first. We never even saw him, but the hygienist introduced herself as a doctor and that's the only person we saw. The wait was really long, they didn't use a lead apron on us when taking xrays, and I saw a glob of what looked like bloody ick on the counter. My husband was told he had 11 cavities that were quite serious (by the hygienist). We requested a quote for fixing his cavities and after two weeks of calling and getting nothing cancelled all apointments. Chose a different dentist, and were shocked when he was told he didn't actually have an cavities, just some areas they need to watch, and was sent home with a list of things to do to help prevent cavities. We would have lost thousands of dollars if we let Dr. Shaeffer fix what didn't need to be fixed.

I've been going to Dr. Schaeffer for several years and I highly recommend him. Very friendly staff, they do a great job cleaning my teeth. Even better--they tend to be ON TIME, so you have very little waiting--something too few practices do these days.

I've been seeing Dr. Schaeffer for 2 years now, and both he and his staff are always extremely nice and make asking questions easy. They are thorough with my teeth and (oh rare joy!) they are prompt and don't leave me waiting.
