We hired Blue Frog to convert an existing 8200sf building into a veterinary hospital. First of all, I very much liked the design/build concept employed by Blue Frog. We worked with Shawn Rainey and Mike Rubio on the overall design. Both are very creative and easy to work with, as well as insightful regarding the workflow and features needed in a veterinary hospital. Their interior design department was equally creative and attentive to the details of appearance and helped us select colors, lighting and other accents that effectively tied everything together. During construction, which was completed on time to the day, the onsite supervisor was fantastic, treated the construction project as if it was his own building being built, and updated me daily on the progress. Any questions or concerns during the project were addressed immediately and effectively. This was my 3rd veterinary construction project and I was very impressed and pleased with Blue Frog from start to finish.

This company took more than twice as long to build our veterinary facility (1 year vs. 5 to 6 months) and finished 23% over the cost they originally estimated ($1,044,737 vs. $850,000). They even admitted during construction they missed another $100,00 in costs they were not going to charge us for - in other words, they were NOT going to charge US for their own mistake. We would have never paid them for these additional costs AND would have terminated the contract if they put them in with a "change order"- Again, it was due to the company's inability to provide an accurate original cost estimate. The worst part of the engagement, however, was the timeline - the original estimated completion date provided by the company was June 26th. The contract stipulated substantial completion within 20 weeks or 104 working days. In the end, we finally received our certificate of occupancy on January 20th, the next year. This was due to multiple reasons. 1. Leadership - We did not have a reliable superintendent until near the very end. We went through 3 or 4. The job would go weeks at a time with NO ONE on site and there was virtually no one site the entire month of June. 2. Senior Direction - again, totally unreliable. 3. Subcontractors - some would show up a few days at a time and disappear for weeks. There was NO reliable superintendent to hold them accountable. 4. Repeated poor hiring decisions from its own employees to subcontractors.

Terrible contractors. Shoddy workmanship. Class action suit being put together by several dentists! Ask any dental supply company and they will inform you of Blue Frog's reputation. I wished I had asked Patterson dental, Atlanta dental, and Henry Schein prior to my hiring BFC. They ALL knew dentists who regretted hiring this company and I have since spoken to several veterinarians who had the same negative experiences. 2 of their employees left their company because of unethical practices there!

Do not use Blue Frog Construction. I did and I was sorely disappointed. See http://bfrogsucks.com for more details. They have even threatened to sue me for posting the following email that I received from Mike Rubio, VP Operations. Rusty, You pointed that out to me last time I was at your house. There is nothing i can do to that bay to make it look any better. The framing is horriable. Blue frog has gone as far as I am prepard to go on your house. I have been out there many many time fixing more and moer stuff to statisfy you and that will never happen. You will NEVER be happy. I have asked you on multiple occaisions to give me a Final punch list. Everytime we come out there. You find more stuff for us to fix because of Poor Framing. Move on Rusty paint your house it looks wonderful all you are going to do is drive yourself crazy with these minor issues. In a perfect world the framers would have never done such a horriable job and we we would not have to pay the price for poor workmanship. So No I will not be coming back any more. I cannot afford it. I said i would do anything to make you happy. But that will never happen. I can"t make you happy so i Will not go Broke trying. Good luck with the rest of your project. Mike Rubio
