The store is very nice, well set up, and organized. The man working the desk was extremely rude. He had a "put you in your place" type demeanor, and turned simple questions into an opportunity to make one look or sound stupid. I found him to be rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. I am not sure if he is the owner, name is Jim. With other options out there for selling or trading used books, customer service should be excellent. He obviously felt he was doing me a favor by letting me shop there. I will look for a better option. No matter how nice the store, customer service and friendliness always wins with people.

This is a wonderful book store. They have new and used books, great prices, and the simplest credit policy in town. I love that the credit doesn't expire, and they keep track of it for you so if you lose your receipt, the credit isn't "gone." I visit both stores and they are both well stocked and have super nice staffs. --One of my favorite places.

Found what I was looking for, but choked when I saw the price. Bookmiser could easily increase their sales and customer base if they would rethink their pricing model. But hey, the people are very friendly - so it's not a total wash.

Used paperback books sell at 50% off the publisher's price. Hardback used books sell at 50-70% off the publisher's price. We also carry new copies of New York Times bestsellers which sell at 20% off the publisher's price--no coupon needed for this everyday value.
I basically thought that I would take my old books into Bookmiser and "trade" them for other books. Not so. They have an extremely complicated credit system that they use instead. The lady was very sweet and helpful but I doubt I would shop there again.
