Books and Co. combines the size and stock of a mega-store, but it still locally owned. It used to be a great family outing to just go to Books and Co. and check out the books. You can't beat this store and it's bigger brother over at the green.

Yeah, you have to pay full price usually, but no other local bookstore provides the care and service that you get a Books & Co. The store grew out of a Little Professor franchise and sprouted its own wings 20-some years ago. The owner took a new tack and created not just a store, but an experience. The business was eventually bought out by Books A Million, but a lot of the key staff remained. They're well trained, and are book lovers themselves, which makes a visit especially rewarding if you love to read. They recently opened a new store at The Greene, which is fabulous!
