I hired Boyd Law to defend me in a lawsuit, paying out $9,500 to sit and go through the details a couple times. From there, Tim recommended that I file bankruptcy which we soon did asking for another $3,000 for that and again later $600 for filing fees. After a couple years and no progress on that, I asked Tim if we could a home loan modification before the bankruptcy since had not filed anything yet and it seemed like a good idea. He took another $1,500 for that. After almost another year, I had seen or heard no progress despite checking in monthly with Tim and he continued to say everything was moving along as it should. We then had a couple issues with clients at work and thought Boyd Law might get moving if I offered them other work that may bring them more money, seemed to be the only times I saw them. I paid Tim $4,500 to file two different lawsuits against non-paying clients. To sum up, I paid out a total of $19,100 and NOTHING was done for me. I found out there was a settlement for over $600,000 against me in the initial case and Tim Boyd never even told me. He filed a bankruptcy at the last minute to stop a foreclosure but never even discussed any details of what we were filing. No home loan modification, actually ended up being foreclosed on. He never filed a thing in the two lawsuits, even after stating that he did. I had to pay a new bankruptcy attorney who was shocked to hear my stories, as well as another attorney to finish up my lawsuit.

Let's see, either one-star reviews or five-star reviews. No in between. Perhaps the 5-stars are written by the company and the terrible reviews are written by folks like me - people who've been ripped off by Tim Boyd and associates. I'm one who's gotten absolutely nothing from Boyd for my money. I hired him to do a trust. I've gotten not one shred of legal stuff from him in return. Only excuses and unreturned calls, emails and letters. I was going to take him to court, but he dissolved one company and started another firm. I can't sue a corporation no longer in business. I will contact the Bar Assoc, however. Stay far away!

Boyd law did a great job of getting several creditor issues resolved prior to a bankruptcy. Getting it done took some time but it was well worth the effort. They were helpful and are currently dealing with IRS for me. They are making progress and hopefully another issue will be completed.

we hired the Boyd Law Group to help us with a tax matter. Tim Boyd and his staff were terrific, they dealt with the IRS and were able to get everything resolved much quicker than we expected. we were very pleased with the outcome

I found BLG online when I had an issue with my drivers license. Several months back I got a ticket, went to court and plead to a reduced ticket and paid a hefty fine to avoid suspension. A few weeks later I received a letter from DDS that my license was suspended. I argued with DDS, even showed them my court docs, but because it was in the system as being suspended I was screwed. I contacted the court and they weren't any help. I contacted Tim Boyd, went in and explained my situation. He said there weren't any guarantees but he thought he could get it reversed. They went to court met with whomever and got the records changed. Tim and his team got me out of a real jam!

Tim Boyd agreed to take my case, took my $5,000 retainer, never gave me an accounting of where it was spent, never did anything he said he would do, did not return my calls. THIEF - stay away form these guys.. they will take your money and do nothing.

In a recent family law case, Carrie represented me and my family. She was very professional and attentive to our needs and helped us get through some challenging times. We had our day in court and she provided excellent legal advice and helped us win our case. The Boyd Law Group is fantastic!

I love this law firm. You will meet Morgan who is a very professional, sweet, and efficent legal assistant. Ted McCain well there are not enough good words in the dictionary to describe him and his wonderful character. Mark Scott and Tim Boyd were my attorneys and did a fantastic job. In court because of a move made by my attorney I walked out fast and free and happy. I live near Athens and it was well worth the drive there and back.

Michael is a brilliant lawyer; he has an extremely strong grasp of the law of real property, civil litigation and criminal defense - in both state and federal forums. It is only a matter of time before he is appointed Judge of the Superior Court. He won my case and saved me time and money. I would use him in a heartbeat

I never thought I would need a divorce attorney and was pleased with the service I received here. Carrie was very helpful and sensitive to my wishes and my daughters' needs. I would recommend Carrie Hackett for any legal need you have.

A recent child custody & visitation case led me to needing a lawyer for the 1st time. Carrie Hackett was the 3rd lawyer I met with before selecting an attorney to represent me. Big mistake! Out of the 3 lawyers I met with, she was the only one who expected me to make a decision at that time and pay for the services up front. That should have been a red flag. She quickly swindled $1250 from me upon meeting with her. At first, I was impressed by her. However, that would be the last time I would actually speak with her. In a 2 month time span, I contacted her office more than 10 times and she NEVER returned a single phone call. I had 2 court dates, both of which were continued; thank God b/c she didn't even show up to court. Her paralegal informed of the 2 court dates only 2 days before the date. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Bar Association. Save your money. She will not keep you informed or return any of your phone calls.
