After bringing in a brand new car (no more than a few months old) and told by the shop manager that he recommends a "full" brake job costing in excess of $2500.00, but as proventitive maint. of course. This after the brakes were barely even squeeling the slightest bit. And then being "advised at the mcdonalds down the street by a "technician" on his lunch brake from this particular shop to have the work done "anywhere else". When I asked why he said that he'd "worked for this company for years and had worked at another location for thi company where a pregnant womans wheel had come off her car (on the freeway!) on the way home from having her brakes done a while back, that's one good reason I'd say". He said. Brakes are not something to mess with, so I don't shop at this company & I advise anyone, especially with kids not to, no matter how good the pricing or warranty may look.

This was not the first time we have gone to this location, but the most recent time did not prove positive. We had an oil change and some other maintenance done before going on a trip only to find that the oil plug was not tightened down and fell out, promptly losing all the oil in the engine. Luckily, another driver behind us saw it happen and alerted us. We pulled over immediately before any damage occurred. This left 4 of us on foot to walk to the nearest auto parts store. We had just been in a very isolated area, so who knows what could have happened. Not good when you are a long way from home or anywhere for that matter.
