Hardwoods Look Great
I purchased site finished hardwood from Bridgeport in June. Jill was a great sales person, save me money and explained the process perfectly. When Raphael my installed/finisher showed up and was very careful moving my furniture and putting in my new floors. They look great!!!
Thank you very much

Outstanding service!
I had a great experience with Bridgeport carpets. Since I have a toddler and work from home David came and brought me samples, twice! The installers were punctual and professional, and the carpet looks and feels wonderful!

Worst Experience Ever!
CAUTION!!!! My expensive hardwood floors have been a nightmare. Be very careful who you choose to do business with. This was a costly mistake and my hardwood floors were not installed properly. Bridgeport did not stand behind their work as promised. They are not truthful and will blame other causes if there is a problem with their work. I had a really bad experience with this company.

We At Bridgeport are sorry that this customer was not happy with the hardwood flooring. We installed flooring in her home 8 years ago. Six months after installation the floor cupped because water had gotten in her crawl space. We told our customer if she fixed the water problem, then we would replace the flooring at no cost to her, which we did. Four months after the second installation the floor cupped again. When inspected there were puddles on top of the new vapor barrier we installed on the crawl space floor. Standing water in the crawl space or under the wood will always cause cupping. She filed a law suit in which the judge found in our favor. We have pictures of the standing water, moisture readings and of both installations to show they were done properly.

Very Nicely Done
We recently re-carpeted our three story home and chose Bridgeport Carpet to complete the project. Throughout the renovation, we had occasion to deal directly with Bridgeport's ownership, its sales staff and its carpet, as well as hardwood installation crews. Because our installations were accomplished during the Christmas holidays and given the comings and goings of house guests, it was necessary to complete the project incrementally. Bridgeport could not have been more accommodating, executing a three stage installation which also had to be coordinated with a second sub-contractor involved in the larger renovation.

By every measure and in every regard; courtesy, competency and professionalism, working with the Bridgeport team proved to be a rewarding, indeed gratifying experience. The company's performance was extraordinary throughout and consequently, it enjoys our highest regard and unqualified recommendation.

Don't do what they promise
We chose an expensive light colored carpet. They promised the installers would remove shoes, or wear shoe protectors to make sure that there was not damage to our hardwood floors or to our new carpet. It had rained all weekend before the installers arrived on Monday, but they had nothing to protect the carpet, no shoe protectors and refused to remove their shoes. We called the company to get some help with the installers and were referred immediately to the President. We asked him to help us and that they please get some shoe protectors on to prevent damage. He was equally uncooperative and when we reminded him that we had been promised this by the sales people, he got belligerent and told us to send his men home, then hung up the phone and refused to talk any more.
We were shocked that the President of the company would treat customers this way, but we sent them away as he asked.
They have not installed our carpet or provided any service and now they are demanding payment, and threatening to begin collection proceedings.
This has been the worst carpet installaton nightmare I have ever had to deal with. I would strongly recommend against this company, they do not do what they promise.

Update 2-3-2010: More untruths in their response. We were promised floor protection and received none, no bad language.
We talked on Monday and he told me that he records all telephone conversations at the company. Seems strange to me - judge for yourself.
