Horrible Experiences
Absolutely terrible experience. The customer service here is just unreal. The 'gentleman' that we spoke to in order to put down a deposit for our tattoos was very short with us and unprofessional. He did not have any personable skills working with the public nor did he act interested. I'm not sure why he works there to begin with. If he is the 'face' of the establishment, I've come across many of people that wont go back here just because of their experience walking in the door. \r\rHe quoted us outrageous prices for small tattoos and would not help guide us in any direction with a tattoo we were asking professional advice about. He was not interested in giving us the time of day. He told us to call back the next day to consult him about what we were going to get for one of the tattoos and when we spoke with him the next day he was a JERK. (for a lack of other words) He rushed us through the whole conversation and started saying that we were liars and told us that even if we made the tattoo less detailed and without color it would be the SAME price?!!?!? He was raising his voice & speaking to us like we were garbage. Its just unbelievable to me. He for one, had no visible tattoos, and when I go somewhere for a tattoo I'd like to see someone who actually knows what the heck theyre talking about and WANTS the business. Or for this matter WANTS to keep up a good image/reputation. \r\rNot only was he rude, the prices here are OUTRAGEOUS. I understand they do 'good work' but thats a given when you want to get a tattoo done, you want good work for a good price. They make a killing there in one day because they charge almost 3x's as much as a good tattoo parlor, and their customer service SUCKS. I'd recommend American Tattoo in Verona or Bay City Tattoo in Erie~ ! \r\r

Quick, but expensive
I wanted a tattoo of a shamrock for years, but wasn't old enough. So on my 18th birthday in December I went to South Side Tattoo to get it done, because that's where everyone told me to go. I walked in and stood in the wait area for about ten minutes before anyone looked at me, and when the receptionist finally came over to me, he wasn't very nice. He just seemed like he didn't care about me, or my business. It wasn't a good start. \rOnce I got into the room with my artist, I was pretty nervous. It didn't seem like a professional place. The artist had a snake in a cage in his room,..\rThe guy's name was Joe, he was really nice and funny. He talked to me for a few minutes before he did my tattoo to tell me what all I should expect, so I was calming down. \rThe tattoo took less than 20 minutes, it was so quick. It turned out great, and I absolutely love it.\rBut it cost me nearly $100. When I left the tattoo room and went back into the wait area, I stood there waiting for the receptionist to come over for a long time. \rThey charge extra to pay with a credit card, which is a rip off. \rAfter I got home I had absolutely no problems with my tattoo. I used the A&D ointment they gave me, and it worked quickly to heal my tattoo. There was only swelling for about a day, and it didn't hurt for long, either. I'm really pleased with the outcome, but I think next time I'll be going somewhere else.

The work was good, but the experience blew
I decided on a tattoo that i wanted and wanted it immediately.I was able to walk in on a Thursday night and get inked. It was kind of a crappy experience. I love my tattoo, but I definitely felt like I was in a stereotypical tattoo parlor. Filthy--I mean, I didn't want to touch anything (covered in the grime of cigarette smoke) and I felt really rushed and pushed through from design to completion.someone else did the stencil and some random artist did my art. I don't know, I love the tattoo that I have, but I won't go back there for future work. They also didn't check my ID, or have me sign anything. Hmm.I WILL, however, go to Black Cat tattoo. I think the work was superior, the prices better, and the experience was awesome. ...

Very Pleased. Go there for all tattoos!!
I had my nose pierced there about a year ago and recently had a tattoo done there. It was a quote on my foot and I had Amy. She was quick, good, and it turned out awesome. I will definitely go back there. Definitely go to Amy if your getting a tattoo!!

Best place in Pittsburgh all around
I got my first piercing here, my eyebrow, and my piercer, Dave, was really calm about telling me what each step of the process was, making sure everything was where I wanted it and talked to me throughout to keep my mind off of the piercing process. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I recommend going here for any piercings and am definitely going to go there for my tattoos too!
