Beware of their Executive Director !!!, 10/19/2009

I saw the Executive Director of this facility yell and scream at one of the elderly people that live here. She had her crying-it was so sad. These people have a difficult time with their lives... already- to have to live in this kind of environment. You would think that someone in a leadership role here would have the education and training to be around the elderly and treat them with the respect that they deserve !

Stay Away!!!, 11/01/2007

High costs, little or no service. Don't be sold by the slick sales pitch. Call system breaks down often leaving residents unable to request help. Apartments go weeks without being cleaned. High... turnover of staff. Recent theft problem where entire housekeeping staff (except 1) terminated. According to Executive Director half of the staff is now in Dekalb County Jail. Run down, shortage of staff, and low quality meals. Management is very caring and listens very well, but can't get anything done from the corporation. This is a Profit first company; the residents be damned. They fully understand the difficulty in moving a loved one again and the frustration and confusion it causes; therefore one is hestitant to make a move hoping things will get better. Well, it won't. Save yourself a lot of heartache and constant monitoring of the safety of your loved one....Stay away!! My mother is here, settled in, contracted for highest level of care and each day requires family time to oversee and negotiate for care contracted for. Note their recent $300 price increase while not providing even the basic care. Dining room is chaos; be sure to spend a couple of meals there before contracting. Fight, literally, break out between residents. People in wheelchairs are trapped because of overcrowding. Much has been done by management to allievate this problem, but it's just too many people in a small space.Save yourself the grief; stay away!!
